I love their dynamic and how they interact with each other. It's a genuine love story with lots of fluff. You can just tell that Coppermane loves Fluttershy so much. I have to ask, where do you get inspiration for their love story? You write as if you have experienced a similar situation.
First of all, thanks for the kind words. Everyone who commented. Nothing but positive words, at least from those who responded (not sure about those who kept silent but whatevs). It really means a lot that people love my pairing, especially considering it’s another OCxMain6 pairing. I tried to make it more realistic (well... eh...) than others and build a relationship between them rather than it instantly happening. But it was also my first go at a fanfic.
At the time of first writing it, I had absolutely no personal romantic experience whatsoever. I was going based on other romance fanfics I read, what I knew about relationships from friends, as well as what I thought was right based on my own intuition for what I would do if I hypothetically had a gf. Not to mention I also felt helplessly lonely at the time, and someone like Fluttershy just enraptured me, and seemed like just the person to take pity on someone like Coppermane. He’s a self insert, if you hadn’t guessed already. Literally, I just had a story being written in my head one night and I just said fuck it why don’t I give it a try. And now I’m here :P
Now that I’ve had an irl gf for a little under 2 years, I have legit experience to draw from and apply it. But I also applied what I wrote to our relationship too, trying to be her prince and treat her like my princess. Seems to be working so far :P
Tl;dr, their love story was basically what I would’ve hypothetically done for my dreamgirl if she was mine. Because at the time, a girl like Fluttershy was my dreamgirl.
This was going to be just a simple response, but I feel like this was good insight into how CoppermaneXFluttershy started, and how I started officially writing in the first place. It was because I was lonely and wanted an imaginary girlfriend of sorts. And now I have people who actually like my stories.
So thanks, y’all. Thanks for the support, especially those of you who have stuck with me through my hiatus. Means a lot to meh :P:P:P
That's essentially my story as well. I just felt like Fluttershy was the best kind of person for me, and I just feel so lonely that I pictured myself as her ideal boyfriend in my own major story. Gah, I feel like a loser. But she's perfect. Perfect.

Self insert, yet very well written. Even if the character is self insert, you still created a good story.
