My goodness guys, I cannot stop wondering when the financial worries will end.
So my health insurance sent me a letter in June saying that they’re switching everybody on my insurance to also have Medicare part B. Sounds awesome, yeah? NO. Because what they DIDN’T tell me ANYWHERE in their letter was that they’d be taking $129.00 out of my disability check! I freaked out yesterday when I saw. I’ve been making all sorts of calls trying to figure out how to pay my damn bills. I only get a little over $500.00 per month now and that barely pays my bills, and now they’re taking a huge chunk out of my pay too. I’m honestly about to lose my mind. I did not need this going on right now but it’s happening.
The lady I talked to from Medicare says if my income is that low then Medicaid should pay for the monthly premium, so now I gotta call my local Medicaid office AND social security to try and sort this out while my sanity is hanging by a freaking thread.
Oh medical system, when will you stop letting me down?
Pray for me, y’all. I’ll need it.
*Sighs* Medical Insurance is truly a sad thing these days. Gone are the days when you could make gradual payments towards keeping up on medicines and in comes the bother of high deductibles and/or over-the-top insurance costs. Worse is when you get the "We don't take Medicare" from a doctor. Argh!
I'm definitely pulling for you, Ms. Rarity. My offer still stands, if you are interested, to commission you for a story. Let me know what you think in a message as, still, I can't send them on my own. :(
Remain determined. I apologize, again, for having fallen so far behind on your writing. One of these days I will catch up. Yep, yep, yep!
Best of luck!
