[UPDATE] When you rely too much on your phone... · 5:11pm Sep 10th, 2019
OK, so I don't have a List entry for this week, and that's my own damn fault. I had to swap my phone (got stuck in a boot loop, factory image somehow got corrupted, so I couldn't even restore it...I lost LOTS of data), which meant that I had to reload my apps and files and music and (most important to this) to-do lists. Given I had a whole workflow made to make sure I could get a List entry out every week, I was starting to wonder when I was going to get my notifications for doing the next thing that needed doing. You know how it goes, when you can do something about a future thing, you don't think about it. (Like, say, when you're playing Robot Unicorn Attack 2 because literally nothing else important is happening) But when you can't do anything about it (like, say, when you're in the shower and your washing your hair), that is when your brain brings up aaaaaall the things you haven't done yet.
Anyway, I just got my to-do app loaded back on my phone, so while I won't have an entry for this week, The List will be back next week.
Relatedly, life is starting to settle down quite a bit, and I'm able to start getting into writing now that I'm not in "Survival" mode. A good honkin' chunk of my mental processes are being consumed with an original work idea that's going to be (frankly) huge, but I am starting to get some urges to write for my existing projects as well. Once I can get Internet at the house, I'll probably be able to devote more time and energy to my writing, but for now, it's still, "While I'm on down-time at work," kinda thing. I do anticipate having my first new chapter for one of my fan-works out before the end of the month, though. I'm going with Lost Little Wolf just because I know exactly what I need to write for the next chapter, so it'll be pretty easy to get a "win" with that one before I start the Fanfiction Friday polls back up.
Chuck, speaking of which. I may have to backup my phone photos too. Good luck restoring the data. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
