Birthday Month Update

Hey Fimfiction. Sorry we left on depressing terms with the last blog post. I’m glad to say that’s shifted a bit in the months since. My depression was pretty brutal for most of the first three months of the year, but in April that really began turning around. I’m glad to say I’m doing much better than I was. Smell Of Home · 4:23am Sep 8th, 2019

I heard about these homesick candles you can get, that are supposed to smell like your city or home state. So I went on amazon and bought one of Florida. I waited all day for it, and when it came, I wasn't disappointed.

When I lit that candle, I closed my eyes. Instantly, I was back in Florida, traveling through West Palm Beach with my little girl. I smelled the scent of oranges, ocean waves. For a heartbeat, I was out on her porch having a smoke after it rained all night before. It felt like home.

I had a bad day yesterday, but smelling that, It was like I was still there. Like I would open my eyes and wake up with my little girl close by. For a moment, there was absolute freedom, where I could be whoever and whatever I wanted. The chains were gone, the shackles off, and I was free.

I cannot wait to smell this again for real. I cannot wait to be free.
