Come closer boys and girls for I have a story to tell... A tale of tragic loss and all that jazz...
Young LEN NARD was having an okay week. A couple people liked his story and he enjoyed reading all the comments. It was nice.
With his heart motivated, he decided to jump right in to writing, aiming to update five days after his last chapter... Only to be met with this.

It was understandable, the sky is pretty cloudy. I'll try again tomorrow. Surely the internet will be back by then. he optimistically thought to himself.
It gotten worst...
The rain... So much rain! His house got a little flooded and LEN knew had to do something about it. With an awesome display of manly skill, he dug a trench for the water to flow through, while the rain fell at their strongest, in the middle of the night, with nothing but his muscles and a little help of a trowel and a tiny rake, because he's just badass like that. (I'm not making this up, this actually happened. This is a true story, I swear.)
Internet connection was gone for days! It was agony! He wanted to watch PewDiePie Minecraft videos write the next chapter so badly!
But it all eventually ended. It was Sunday, the storm finally let up and sunlight could be seen once more for the first time in a while, but most importantly, THE INTERNET IS BACK!
With hope and determination, young LEN NARD jumped into writing right away! For hours he wrote and wrote, only stopping for a very late lunch.
It was around ten in the evening when he did the impossible. In one day, he managed to write 8k and a half words! All he needed to do was to edit it for grammar and spelling checks, and the chapter is good to go!... Except he forgot about one thing. Soon enough, he'll find out... That he made a total noob mistake.
LEN let out a breath. He read over the chapter, fixed some errors here and there, and editing was finally over. All he had to do was add a quirky author's note and it's another baby good to go!
His finger moved to tap the save icon. It loaded and loaded... And loaded...

Oh... my... Luna. I am so sorry dude. I love Noctis Ascending. Noct is getting a whole knew chance. I hope you didn't lose everything. Some sites like Google Docs save automatically, others dont.
I kinda have a paranoia against these types of situations. I HAVE to save like 3-5 times until I'm satisfied that my own story or project wouldn't be lost.

Fuck Mother Nature also I recommend writing in Microsoft word then porting it over to film fic so you can't lose it due to bad or no internet connection
