Hey guys,
Gee, it’s been a while hasn’t it since my last blog. Many of you are still asking what’s happening with “Twins at the Beach” and “Rise of the Apple Princess”!? Well, let me start with “Twins at the Beach”.
Yes, the next chapter is still in progress it’s coming along slowly but I’m hoping that it will be done eventually. I can’t give an exact date as to when the chapter will come but once it does eventually come up it will be worth the wait.
Now, in regards to “Rise of the Apple Princess”…. I’ve been contemplating this for a while and I’m presently undecided on what to do. I want to make it clear; I am not canceling the fanfic! However, I have been considering something other than cancellation and that’s an entire re-write!
Now the story itself will still play out the same way there won’t be any drastic changes to the story itself. The reason for this is that after being off the fanfic for a while it’s given me time to think things over and I realize that the chapters are in quite a messy state. Even the next chapter is still in quite a disarray.
I think what the problem was is that since I was still all to new to the world of fanfictions and I didn’t give much thought into the creation of the chapters. Once I get an idea I may go a little overboard and end up making a chapter into more like its own one-shots!
But after some time and working on other stories like “Twins at the Beach” I’m beginning to get a slightly better understanding on how to properly work on my stories and at the end that’s really what I want, to present the absolute best quality stories for all to enjoy.
Now, even though I’m interested in doing a re-write for “Rise of the Apple Princess”, I even have new ideas in mind already, I’m still a little indecisive whether to go through with it and just simply re-edit the current chapters. Reason being that despite how long and slightly poorly written a lot of people still enjoy it as it is.
If I do go through with the re-write then it will mean that the fanfic will be indefinitely postponed… probably until the middle of 2020 or maybe further.

I'd prefer a rewrite, a clean slate. Just tell when the rewrite starts, I did vote.
In the 14 years I've been reading fanfiction, I've seen more than a few fics which the author decided to rewrite.
I have difficulty naming a single one that I ever saw new content for, and the few that achieved a full rewrite were the stories the author had already finished.
One of my favorite authors on fanfiction.net rates his fics. Over the years I've watched as every fics rating goes steadily down, until he considers most them to be garbage.
The reality is that a majority of the issues an author seeks to fix with rewrites involve the stories structure and flow. I've never allowed either to dictate my ability to enjoy a good plot and wonderful characters.
I've said my piece, and I wish you luck and inspiration regardless of the direction the poll takes.
