Google docs doesn't add a comma in page numbers. :twilightangry2:

Sorry if I made you uncomfortable with the private message I sent you earlier.

I’m sorry

Have you tried Plot Factory? I found the site recently and it's an amazing site if you're a writer, though you do have to pay monthly for a few features like dark mode and I think auto save to Dropbox. Worth it for me though.

Life can be so unfair.

How are you getting to page numbers that high without g-docs slowing to a crawl?

I guess you'll need to get to 10k to see if it adds one then.

I just use gdocs for comments. I write in Open Office and push finished chapters to the doc, so it functions as both a way for me to get feedback and to back up my work. Plot Factory does look rather interesting, though I'm not a fan of a monthly/annual fee for it. I'd rather pay once for something (like Final Draft), and Open Office/gdocs are completely free.

I know, right? My actual manuscript in Open Office is just over 800 pages now, so it'll be a bit before I find out if I get a page count comma there or not (I'm guessing no). That is, if I don't make a "part 2" file, since I actually get a bit of lag on my laptop now whenever I open my manuscript file, which is ~550kb of pure plain text. :twilightoops:

Once it loads, it's been fine on my end. The loading times, however, have gotten quite spectacular.

Pfft, I'm only writing a book nearly the size of Lord of the Rings, not the entire Song of Ice and Fire series. It took me over 240,000 words to hit 1k gdoc pages.
