    Story Update?

"Hey, that was a weird ass post yesterday. Does that mean there's a story update coming?"

No, I just thought it would be funny in the moment.

    "Will there be?"

Blog #24 - Happy 4th and I Am Still Alive

So since my last post, it's been... a little bit of time. Only a little less than four months...

In that time I've changed positions at work a few times and I'm now working a lot more. I haven't had the time to write, but I'm gonna try and force myself back into it, guys.

Anyways, hopefully, I'll post something again here soon.

    Best,

    Blog Post #22 - 8+ Years

Jesus Christ, it's been over eight years since I joined this website. Eugh. Time flies, I suppose.

So, what would I say of my time on this website? A few words describe it, though they carry mixed emotions.

Blog Post #9 · 2:48pm Jun 9th, 2019

I was looking at the analytics for Textbook soldier, and I noticed that this chapter brought with it a much higher spike in views just after publishing. Chapters 7 and 8 had 437 and 433, respectively, on the day of their publishing, and Textbook soldier, not even halfway through the day, has 581 views so far. I'm 100% sure it's because of PillowRabbit's amazing cover art!

So there's a tip, I guess, for all you out there. I saw this on someone else's blog post once, but I'll paraphrase here: Despite the saying, literally everyone judges a book by its cover. So make sure your cover is appealing. Textbook Soldier's cover before was just a generic picture of a WW2 American soldier. Problem with that was that everyone could tell I just Googled it and downloaded it off Google Images. Because there was no text on it, and I'm not even sure it's from WW2.

Anyway, I'm glad Chapter 9 was so well received. A lot of people expressed interest in either proofreading or hanging out on a Discord server. So, if you're interested, here's the link! This isn't just for people who want to edit/proofread, this is for anyone who wants to hang out and talk history or ponies.

Thanks for reading, y'all!

The new artwork cover has really helped and now the story is getting the attention that it so richly deserves. Gongrats.
