"Hey, that was a weird ass post yesterday. Does that mean there's a story update coming?"
No, I just thought it would be funny in the moment.
"Will there be?"
I don't know. I really do want to. But it's like... I don't really know where I left off anymore. It's been years, and I generally know where I want to go, but I don't know how to get there. That was my biggest problem with writing. Just getting the words down.
So where have I been? Well, that's a mixed answer. COVID rocked my world for a bit, for sure, so I found a new job in pharmaceutical research, which I thoroughly enjoyed, actually. Seeing everyone's depictions of medical testing on this site was amusing with the knowledge of how it's actually done. But after about 2 years of that, I realized that I was in a dead-end job. I'd skyrocketed through the ranks and was as senior as I was going to get without incredible luck, so there was nothing really for me there anymore. With my friends around me starting fascinating careers with their degrees and accomplishments, I decided that I had to do something to change as well.
So I joined the army.
To the surprise of no one in my family, I may add. So for the most part, that's where I've been. I'm not really going to talk much more than that, but I don't really have the free time I used to, but lord knows I need a creative outlet again. I think I'm going to try and give things a shot again if anyone is even still interested. Let me know what y'all think.

Great to hear from you! I'll certainly try to write something, at least. I'd like to at least finish Textbook Soldier, even if I never do anything beyond that.
