Exciting news! An anonymous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has anonymously donated $100 to the prize pool! Adding that to my original $80 of prizes, the new prizes will be:
- 1st Place: $100
- 2nd Place: $40
- 3rd Place: $25
- Honorable Mention: $5
- Honorable Mention: $5
- Honorable Mention: $5
Since I have enough judges that I don’t need to judge myself, and the judges don’t know who this donor is, only I do, they are welcome to still participate in the contest, and indeed I hope they do.
Interested in contributing to the pot yourself, either money or an illustration or audio reading or something? Just PM me! If you wish to remain anonymous to everyone but me, you are still eligible to compete and win. However, if you wish for your contribution to be made public, you will be publicly thanked, and while still encouraged to enter the contest, will not be eligible to win any prizes. Of course, I suppose you could create an alt account and use that to enter, as long as NO ONE knows it’s you. So for example, were I to enter the contest (I won’t be), me using “Excellent Trebuchet” or “Wonderful Springboard” as alt names would not fly.
Other Contest News:
- I’m still PMing various peeps asking if they want to be judges, and waiting to hear back from various peeps as well. Judges should be semi-finalized and announced next week. I expect a change or two to still happen because life happens, but they will be mostly in place by next week
- I’m hoping to get some artwork and voice readings thrown in as prizes as well
- I’ll be making a contest group for this Soon, but the entry folder won’t open until the contest officially starts.
- The contest will officially start on June 21st at the latest, but if everything is in place sooner than that, I’ll start it earlier.
- on that note, only feghoots published after the start of the contest will be eligible for entry, so please wait until then!

Is this being hosted on FimFiction so author identities will be known or are we using one of the other tools?
I want the best feghoots possible to come from this competition. For that cause, I'd be glad to preread other contestants' stories and provide feedback in advance of submission.

Yeah, I figure it's just easiest hosting it on Fimfiction, and that will let people's knowledge of the contest grow as they read contest entries. All the judges are going to be well-established authors (or in one case, a prolific reader), and each story will be read by at least 3 judges, and the finalists will be read by all the judges, so I'm not really worried about favoritism being an issue.
When I officially launch the contest, I'll mention that you're offering prereading/editing services. Thank you for that!
