So I was looking up some historical records of dragon myths and the cultural adaptations of dragons, when I came across this particular interesting serpent from France.
It’s called guivre (pronounced as “geev-ruh”).
It lives in rivers, streams, and other bodies of water. Instead of fire, they breath poison gas that can destroy crops and spread diseases.
But get this! It’s easily embarrassed at the sight of people in the buff, in their birthday suits, or in a word, nude. One good peep and they immediately get flustered and just swim away and never to be seen again.

There was this one Dragon on 'HTTYD' that was able to emit some form of fumes while it's other head ignited it with flames. I wonder if that got it's inspiration from this Guivre.
Though to be frightened away by people just because they're not wearing any attire... Kind of embarrassing actually.
so in order to get rid of a gas dragon i have to be naked? hop their are no leaches in the water
