Wow, 200 episodes? I don't think anyone ever anticipated that the show would come this far.
Woo-whee, this was a wild ride. Where do I even start?
Baby Spike, do-do do-do-do, baby Spike, do-do do-do-do, baby Spike do-do do-do-do, baby Spike!
I almost died seeing little baby Spike in the flashback; he's too precious!
Ah, great, this "Sibling Supreme" stuff is making Cheese and Tommy pop up in my mind and starting their own crazy sibling competitions. If those two get going, I'm worried about the fate of Equestria... or at least Manehattan.
Those are not geese, those are dinosaurs.
That planet in Pinkie's imagine spot creeps me out, why the heck does it have a face with that stupid nose and talk with that stupid voice? On another note, I'm glad Pinkie didn't end up going to space, because I have this weird thing where if a cartoon sends its characters into space, chances are that I'll smell a gimmick that's for the sake of "Space is KEWL! Kids love space!" and then get bored. I know it's what her voice actress wanted, and she sort of got it through that imagine spot, but I normally don't find space or the inside of a spaceship to be an interesting story setting. Star Wars is the exception.
*hears snippet of G3 theme, specifically, "Rainbow Dash always dresses in style..."* I know I'm not the only one that heard that when Rainbow was in that dress.
Y'know, I was lucky that I was wearing a hoodie tee at the time of watching... because I was cringing so hard at the Rainbow and Zephyr scene that I needed to cover my face with a hood. I could stand the small snippets of Zephyr's crush on her in Flutter Brutter, but here it was just creepy. I was also wondering whatever happened to the manestyling thing and why he of all ponies was a guard... the end answered the latter, but I still want to know what happened to the former. Bah, I was hoping that his second appearance in the show would follow up from his development in his first.
It does increase my desire to stick him in the same room as Tomato and see how long it takes Tommy to want to kill him.
And of course... the twist of Spike outsmarting everyone was the best the show had. All he needed was to have Luna on his side, and then just rig the game right under everyone's noses. The shots of Spike wearing the Sibling Supreme crown and Luna evilly stroking a dino-goose are just the cherry on top.
Also, Shining and Twilight calling Spike their little brother is just so sweet.
I very much prefer this to the 100th episode, Slice of Life, since it focuses on our main characters rather than background ponies I don't really give a flying feather about. But, whatever, they're both love letters--one to the fandom, and the other to the voice actresses.
Hope the next episode is this fun.
