Eris was the leader of Arcardia and was fighting a war with the dragons in the north. When Derpy befriended Toothless, Arcadia became a land where Unicorns and Dragons could coexist peacefully. However, Eris did not have a dragon like the rest of them. Dissapointed in himself, he used a spell to go to a different place, where he could think about things in a calm place.
Not long after, he is captured by the military and was experimented on. In that experiment, Eris gained an unparalleled intelligence that will allow him to become a great strategist and commander over a group of other military-created Unicorns. He is trained to be a heartless killer on the battlefield and is trained to gain tactical objectives during operations. After training, he and a small group of Unicorns were deployed as a taskforce to hunt down Godzilla and other MUTOs (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism). During the encounter, he managed to successfully capture Sparky and lure Godzilla to his killzone. After Godzilla killed the other Unicorns, Eris decided to unconditionally release Sparky to ensure his own survival. Sparky and Godzilla returned to the bottom of the waves shortly after.
To prevent repercussions from his superiors, Eris decided to fake his death and sailed to Singapore to enjoy his new found freedom. Sparky, grateful of Eris for releasing her, would go to Singapore to find him. During the visit, Eris enjoyed Sparky's child-like character and likewise Sparky enjoyed Eris's kindness to different creatures. This would lead them to becoming friends. When Sparky had a strong desire to be like Godzilla, Eris used his intellect to create a serum that allows her to have Godzilla-like features. However, during the mixing process, Eris's blood sample spill into the serum.
Sparky took the serum and it allowed her to transform to Godzilla, except that she now has an additional horn and wings due to Eris's mishap. Sparky accepted the state of events and use it to her advantage. She then trained to use both her atomic breath and her magical powers with Godzilla and Eris respectively. When Sparky returned to Equestria, he accompanied her, only to be found unwanted by the populance there.
Eris then return to the Human world and worked with Sparky to form the Equestrian Cavalry. A group of dedicated Equines that will help make the lives of other species better. It would later expand to have a military branch for hostile situations. It was also decided for them to set a base in Singapore as it is the safest place in the world to do their job without much hindrance from the Humans.
To expand the capabilities of the military, a carrier by the name of Melowy was built by Eris to allow them to have a greater reach around the world. It was also designed to be able to carry Sparky (in Godzilla form) across oceans. Eris would train Sparky to use modern firearms and made some of his own firearms later down the line. In turn, Sparky teached him how to ride her, be it in her Light Fury form or Godzilla Form.
Later on, Star Light and Night Light would make their way to Singapore as they too are unwanted in Equestria. Sparky would gladly take them in and train them to use modern weapons like machine guns and missiles. Zilla, who is adopted by Godzilla and has similar traits to him, became jealous of Sparky's success. During a celebration event, He secretly wiped the memories of Star Light, Night Light and Sparky before sending them back to Equestria.
Eris, who was devastated by the loss would hand over the leadership to Queen Derpy and would dedicate his life in finding his best friend in Equestria no matter the cost.
Footnotes:
Eris likes to ride on Sparky (Dragon and Alpha Predator Form) and Sparky also likes to ride on Eris (Unicorn Form). They have develop such a great bond and understanding with each other that they could have switched bodies and no one would be able to tell the difference.
Eris main weapon is her crossbow, which is able to pierce through the thickest of armors.
Eris is often misunderstood by people around her which makes her actions looks weird to many people.
