Hearth's Warming Tidbit 7: Raven's Eyes · 6:45pm Apr 10th, 2019
So last week I told you all that I would be starting my own work. This however doesn't mean that my main work Journey To Hearth's Warming will still be going as a fall back in case the original works don't last. This means that tidbits still continue. I might short the amount of tidbits next season but this won't mean they will be ending any time soon. Now we get to the next tidbit, Raven's Eye. The dangerous object that drives one of our villains' motivation. But which villain am I motivating in this?

The Raven’s Eye is mystical object made by King Heavonos. It was a prototype in his attempt to create the first alicorns. Created from the tears on an Existal, the first ever immortals to ever exist.
It gets it name from the eye design deeply indented into it and the color of the design being a light hue of black akin to a raven’s eye. Despite the name the design within it doesn’t even resemble a raven’s eye, in fact it often stated to look like a different kind of eye depending apparently on the species that looks upon.
Heavonos created it in an attempt to grace the immortality of the Existals on the mortal ponies of the world so they could stand alongside the other immortals of the land. However the Raven’s Eye was a failure. It couldn’t grant immortality, it could alter biology to the point of possibly creating an immortal, but the effects even after prolonged use were always temporary. Any chance it gave would last a grant total of a year. To make things even more problematic, each time it was on the same creature the effect time would be even short.
Realizing the failure the Raven’s Eye was hidden deep away and only rarely seen especially after Heavonos and Kray perfected a true spell that could do what the Raven’s Eye could not. The first alicorns were created and the Raven’s Eye vanished from most if not all accounts.
The last whereabout of the Raven’s Eye was in the remains Umburm capital. It was said to be held by Queen Carmilla Darkest for an unknown reason but after she was killed by Rex Moba it vanished again. This time however not only wasn’t it never seen again but it is always almost never brought up or mention through as if all parties wanted it to be forgotten.
