Hello, guys! Hope all's well! Here's Bubble Butt back to give you an update on me being alive and not actually dead! Being not dead is a huge accomplishment that merits celebration, but it doesn't matter right now because I'm here to give you an update!
If you were wondering, no, I'm not dead (redundancy at its finest)! I've been working in the background. Now, I suppose that this is the part where I mention what I've been working on, but I really can't just do that. Spoilers and such other things.
Seriously though, last year was a wake-up call, I mean, having cancelled a story that I put so much effort in for almost 5 years really hurt, and I feel like I don't want to have an experience like that ever again. That's the very reason as to why I'm now writing it all down before posting, basically getting a full draft ready before I get to writing it properly, getting it setup and better planned while also setting up themes—as simple or overtly subtle as they may be—for the story to follow.
It's been a different type of process, giving me a much needed outlook over the whole thing, allowing me to actually change things around before posting to properly allow the story to be something much more, well, I don't know. Concise is the word, I think. That being said, it's going along well! If not much more slowly for obvious reasons.
Good news is that I have around 6-8 chapters already lined up to be written, a process that should go far more smoothly with the draft I have down, which is a bloody good thing if I do say so myself. No more messing with numerous plot points in a finale! Huzzah!
Now, this story will be kinda-sorta long? Maybe? It's difficult to pinpoint how far I'll go, but it's a story that just sort of came up as an inspiration from me writing Diamond Tiara in one of my shorts. What is this story about? It's not going to be something you can easily guess, trust me. This one will actually be something slightly different as well to what some might expect. Well, all I can say is that I'm FINALLY writing some long form ACTUAL pony. No more HiE-likes for me! At least not at the moment.
