Ed Edd & Eddy based story

Should I do Dash, Twi and Pinkie or Dagi, Ari & Nata?

Both I feel would be equally funny. Hell I could do Dash, Twi & Pinkie and have the dazzlings play the Kanker sisters.

What do you all think? Yay or Neigh?

In the author's defence, I liked one of their other stories a great deal, but I think shoehorning one set of characters into a story template made for another involved sanding most of the sirens' edges off to fit.

I would say that, as a general rule, any time you try to fit one character into the mould of another, you lose most of the nuance of what makes them special, and so would advise against it.

Hm I can see what your saying however its all about execution. I think the issue most have is trying to have the characters fit the mold of the original characters from that show rather than trying to have those characters fit into the same scenario but under circumstances that make more sense in their own canon. Least thats how I feel about it anyway

5016614 I agree that method is definitely a lot better than the alternative. I still think you'd be better off coming up with your own story, though, one that fits those characters from the start

That i can agree to though nothing is wrong with referencing a story that has been done. Cartoons do it ALL the time and some do it better than others but it CAN be done
