Expanding the dazzlings

While the dazzlings seemingly work best as a trio I can't help but wonder what things would be like for them if they had other talented musicians in their ranks that could do things other than sing. Follow me?

Adagio is the lead singer/vocalist

Aria and Sonata harmonize and provide back up vocals.

So what could the dazzlings group need in order to maximize their potential? Well if we take a look at the rainbooms they have 7 members all of whom can sing and they can all play instruments as well.

So for the dazzlings they come across more as a pop/girl band than the rainbooms do because their entire thing is being idols and pop stars. I think perhaps adding a solid 3 extra members to make it a even 6 for the dazzlings would be ideal. That begs the question who could join them in this regard? Because not only do they need to be able to sing but they need to be able to play an instrument.

So if I had to select three characters to join the dazzlings in their group as well as be their actual friend, here are my picks

Trixie Lulamoon (guitar)

Vinyl Scratch(DJ/beats/remixes)

Lemon Zest (Drums)

And each of them would actually make really good lersonal friends for the individual dazzlings when you think about it.

Trixie and Adagio are very similar in that they are showboats who love the adoration and attention of their fans and just anyone in geneal. They live for the entertainment and praise that comes with having done a good performance. Trixie is a magician and so I could genuinely see her and Adagio doing magic shows together where Adagio gets to be the lovely assistant.

Aria and Vinyl i feel would get along great as I feelike Vinyl would be super chill and allow Aria to take the lead on most things which would be a refreshing thing for Aria since she is always taking orders from adagio and following her lead. Not that Aria would boss vinyl around or anything(intentionally) but she would finally have someone to actually listen to her and take her suggestions and advice.

Sonata and lemon Zest would immediately be best friends. I don't make the rules. 😅 But seriously Sonata is a sweetheart and lemon zest is a punk rock loving goof ball so those two would immediately wanna write songs sing rock out and party. Sonata would also finally have a friend who doesn't mind her ditzy nature and who is themselves kind of a ditz and neither of them make fun of the other for it at least not in a malicious manner and sonata is super happy to have someoen who doesn't call her an idiot often.

I know the normal go to thing is to have the rainbooms befriend everyone and such but that doesn't always have to be the case. The rainbooms spread the magic of friendship to everyone at CHS and crystal prep and so if they can manage to use that to get to the dazzlings then so be it.

Now that being said would the dazzlings be more of a rival group to the rainbooms but in the friendly sense? Cause rivalry CAN be friendly you know, it's not always antagonistic and toxic. There can be mutual respect among rivals, it's natural. So yeah I feel like they wouldn't exactly be friends but they wouldn't be enemies either.

Like sunset and Adagio DO NOT like each other in this context BUT if they have to work together or be in the same room they'll tolerate the other or at the very least playfully tease the other at every opportunity.

However Pinkie and Sonata would be besties cause pinkie is just like that and sonata is too sweet to be evil.

Aria and rainbow would probably fight at least once but then be cool afterwards

Adagio might actually be friendly with rarity considering her fashion sense and more refined nature and I could even see her maybe being friendly with Applejack simply because AJ is blunt, honest to the point and doesn't take bullshit from anyone and Adagio would respect that I feel.

Fluttershy would just want everyone to get along and twilight would be the same.
