I was hosting a tournament. Things were heating up, and we both had temples going up all across the screen. I was the first to get a temple, and I had enough income to build several more within a minute of each other.
And then my wallpaper changed.
You see, there's this recurring glitch in the Windows 10 (Microsoft Store) version of BTD Battles, where occasionally if your wallpaper is set to a slideshow, upon changing wallpapers the game will lag heavily for a couple seconds. It seems like something that'd just be a minor annoyance, but once the lag is gone, it's not impossible to interact with the game in any way besides force-closing it with the X in the upper right-hand corner. This forces you to lose whatever match you're playing, all because your wallpaper decided that it was a nice time to change.
Also, it seems to happen much more on Windows 10 devices with touch screens, which I'd personally say are ideal for BTD battles given their larger screen area compared to phones and tablets. I've never encountered it on non-touch devices, but given the gameplay mechanics, it's much better to have a touchscreen for the game.
EDIT: Though, I haven't played using mouse and keyboard on my non-touch main PC for quite some time, so I'm actually not entirely sure if the glitch is reserved only to touchscreen devices or not. I've cut out the part mentioning specifically touch vs. non-touch devices in the forum post.
Already made an account on Ninjakiwi's forums to post a bug report, by the way. Now I'm just salty that I had to lose the first tournament I've played in literal years.
