    Adulting is hard.

Buying a house is hard. Just saying that right now.

    So some minor improvements.

We have a new person at work, and they appear to be getting used to the job quite quickly. My phone, meanwhile, has been fixed, and I have gone to great effort to thank my current phone provider for having so much better customer service than my previous provider.

Househunting is still ongoing, but even that appears to be making some positive progress.

    I don't think it's getting better.

So the good news is that we have a new supervisor at my job. The bad news is that one, the new supervisor is sick with something and her doctors are failing to help her get better, and two, the job is taking its sweet time hiring anyone new. This coupled with various unforeseen factors led to last week being a pain in the hindquarters at work. Plus, my househunting isn't going well, and my phone

I think my job is trying to give me PTSD.

I was awoken by a phone call this morning. Work asked me to come in, as things were crazy. I did so, was there from around 9:30 AM to 6PM. Worked without a lunch break, I might add.

    The Moral Event Horizon.

Gonna discuss another trope today in relation to the Quiververse. In this case, it's the Moral Event Horizon. In simple terms, this is the point a character passes that forever marks them as EVIL and potentially irredeemable. TVTropes itself lists a few examples from FiM, and I won't repeat them here...though I will say that

Well, I've gotten things done. · 1:26am Dec 27th, 2018

I won't bore anyone over what happened with me over the holidays - the short version is that I got three days off from work, and spent a lot of time either feeling exhausted, frustrated, or trying to get stuff done, with a few brief moments of enjoyment with my girlfriend. Thank God for her, because she made things so much easier for me.

Anyway, I'm pleased to say that I've not only completed Chapter Three for Many Happy Reunions, but also written up the next one of my Vignettes. I won't spoil what episode inspired it, beyond saying that it comes from Season Two, but I will say that it will be released, at the latest, in June as a breather between the completion of Many Happy Reunions and my resuming regular work on A Mad Pony in a Box. With any luck, it'll be well-received, and a number of people will take interest in what transpires in it.

Oof. Sorry about the frustrations and such. But I'm glad that you're pleased to have completed another Vignette, and I will definitely be interested to see what it is come June. ^_^

Between this and the previews I am getting more and more excited. However to be fair the excitement I am feeling right now isn't just over this in all fairness.

So I also nearly just gave myself a heart attack. My keyboard sits on a rolling table on my desk. So I'm in the process of typing something when I banged my knee against the underside of the table which caused all sorts of keys to hit not only basically locking the screen but for what I thought for a second also refreshed the screen which would have wiped what I was working on up to that point. After unlocking the screen I also thankfully found out that nearly two hours of typing hadn't been lost either.

And I hope that it will indeed come in June. That projection is entirely assuming I have my projected chapter amount for Many Happy Reunions - six plus an epilogue - and don't end up needing more than that. Or that I don't end up needing to put something out in a hurry. But fingers crossed for a completed story, and a June release for the Vignette.

I'm glad, and sympathetic. I've had one instance where I'd almost completed a story, and then deleted it by accident - much swearing ensued on my part - and another instance where I lost everything due to computer issues, so I know how that works out. Glad things went better for you than they did for me, though.

I really, really hope I don't do that. While I, to a fair degree but not fully, write out a story before I start it here so I wouldn't lose a truly significant amount it would still be frustrating to have to go back and retype everything again. Some might be surprised how much I already have written up in regards to my two stories that I have been working on for a time. "Pony Trapped in Time" is at a point where it is pretty much ready to be fully written. I have a handful of partial scenes fully written out and the entire basic story written out. However I want to get to pushing out the much bigger and more complex story about Windup first. Or at least get it going and a few things out of the door like the short stories that set the stage for his first big story. It also gives me more time to sort out the name of the main character and protagonist in "Pony Trapped in Time."

Now you might think; "Its ridiculous that you haven't come up with a name. Names are easy." For some maybe but not for me. See I am exceptionally deliberate in important details. Let me give you an example using Windup. He is a Kirin and his colors I chose very specifically and it took me hours to find and decide on those colors. I wasn't just deliberating on the shade, hue, or what have you but also on the name of the color itself. I won't go into the details of why the colors here because spoilers however his colors are; for his coat Fallow, scales Drab, mane Xanadu and eyes Labrador. Ok eyes aren't nearly as specific as the other three besides the fact that I can use the joke; "No, he doesn't have puppy eyes he just has Labrador eyes." Ok its not a great joke at all but I get a real kick watching some reactions to puns like that. Anyways there is real deliberateness in Windups colors as is in choosing his name and in choosing what the name of the main character and protagonist of "Pony Trapped in Time" is and I have yet to come across names that I am 100% behind yet.

Don't worry. I have trouble coming up with names too. Most folks do.
