Chapter Updates Schedule · 7:35pm Oct 31st, 2018
Well, today was my last day working at my job. Friday I'll be going in for a few hours for some "we're closing and done" party and then I get to spend a few hours at the unemployment office. I'm supposed to be speaking with the local community college a week from today about Trade Adjustment Assistance where they retrain me into some new career, courtesy of the company that just laid me off and moved overseas. I can't even start part time employment until I talk to them about that because I have no idea what my schedule with them will be yet. I get 6 weeks of pay as a severance from my job so I'm not completely broke. This adds up to a lot of doing nothing for the next week or so except what I just mentioned.
Anyway, I'm going to have much more free time than I expected. So, I will be doing chapter updates this week after all. Since I'm likely going to be bored out of my mind they may come more frequently as I finish chapters and am satisfied that the majority of major editing problems are dealt with. Expect a flood of content over the next few weeks, but no more than a chapter a day.
Bad news: No Job.
Good news: More writing.
I am conflicted.
Probably stating the obvious, but all that I can suggest is getting your CV into a decent recruitment agency. From my experience they do everything aside from the interview. Might not be the ideal job, or even permanent, but everything buys some breathing space. Maybe a Patreon? Volunteer work usually looks good on a CV and keeps the mind occupied.
