I have returned to working 60 to 70 hours a week, so there will be delays on chapters. I just wanted to give a heads-up.
I do plan things out far ahead time, and do have a sequel story to this one in the works, although it is another sequel that could stand alone. Figured I would give a preview of what might be in that story.

Nice idea, but Wild Growth can't grow at 2043, due to having burned out her ability in 2029. Should clarify, she is a Senator on the committee.

More on the mundane side of similar concept, having expertise in the field at least, it could still be about drought and crop yields potentially looking into maximisation methods, soil quality enhancement, drought minimalisation and similar things with the perspective of the abilities of ponies but particularly earth ponies.
Some thinly veiled barbs can be thrown her way about her former ability. Lack of properly understanding ponies and their abilities, partly from a combination of fear and sensationalism, could have some Senators pushing the idea that ponies are holding out/hiding more ponies with the abilities Wild Growth once demonstrated/used. This would be a lot more likely if the situation was more desperate though.
