    The Arrowverse

To all you DC Comics fans out there, I’m sure you at least heard of the Arrowverse, a superhero media franchise that began with “Arrow” (starring Oliver Queen / the Green Arrow), before including “The Flash “, “Supergirl”, and more. I think it was a great and compelling journey alongside these heroes and their struggles not only against the villains but also the juggling of their lives, their

    Question regarding Horcruxes

JK Rowling imagined a vile concept for Voldemort, the main antagonist of her series, Harry Potter, as a means for him to achieve what he believed to be immortality due to his pathological fear of death - The Horcrux.

    Question

I have a question, and I would like to say, I ask this for clarification and intend no offense whatsoever.

In regards to the Singular They, which is typically used by people who identify as Non-Binary or otherwise, what word is acceptable in a sentence regarding an individual who goes by the Singular They?

'They are enjoying themselves' or 'They are enjoying themself'?

    A Weird Thing just happened...

Okay, so I'm on my computer, reading, when I hear a loud "POP/BOOM" sound in my house. I go to check it out... and I find out my two-liter of Cola just exploded in my pantry cupboard!

    I have no idea why!

I recently bought it, it wasn't shook, it was at room temp, I cannot, for the life of me, understand why this bottle of pop just popped!

The Thirteen Alicorn Treasures · 7:59am Oct 15th, 2018

Although things are slow-going lately, I’ve been thinking more and more about these magical items I made up and how big a role(s) they can play in my story’s future, especially in light of a side-story I’m planning.

These Thirteen Treasures in the story's universe each contain a magical stone that were created by ancient alicorns eons ago during their golden age. After the alicorns were gone, these stones were scattered and discovered by various seekers of knowledge and magic. Each stone was found to have a specific kind of magical power and to focus their energies, their discoverers set the stones into magic relics, weapons, and such, creating thirteen objects of great power.

Star Swirl the Bearded, Stygian, Mistmane, and Meadowbrooke discovered these thirteen objects radiated with the same magical energy and believed together they could make whoever wielded them all-powerful. To prevent this, they kept this discovery to themselves and (through one way or another) saw to it that the artifacts would never come together.

As mentioned, these magical objects will soon start popping up and playing various roles important to the story. They are as follows:

The Trident of Aquastria
Alicorn Stone of Water

The ancient Sea Horses discovered one of the Alicorn Stones and that it carried the essence of the Sea. It became their greatest treasure until they were wiped out by an undersea plague called the Red Tide. Beached and dying, the Sea horses were found by nomadic ponies running from their past, and despite the ponies’ efforts they could not help the Sea Horses.

Touched by their compassion and regret, the Sea Horses bade the ponies not to cry and their leader offered the ponies the Water Stone, along with all the wonders of the sea, for giving them comfort and kindness in their final moments. The ponies accepted and as the leader of the ponies humbly accepted the Water Stone, the Sea Horses’ bodies dissolved into sea foam and were all swept out to the sea.

The ponies’ leader was named Ponydon, who used the Water Stone to transform his friends and family into the first Sea Ponies, and they dived into a whole new life and adventure beneath the ocean’s waves. With the help of his closest friends, Ponydon forged a weapon and inserted the Water Stone into it, which he used it to build the undersea kingdom of Aquastria, and thus began the legend of the Trident of Aquastria.

The Trident bestows upon its wielder the power to command water in general, along with the seas and the clouds above it, and it can only be wielded by one of Ponydon's bloodline. Alas, a great tragedy befell the royal family, leaving no apparent survivors. The Sea Ponies called upon the Great Sea Lion, Leo, to lead them. Leo had a premonition that the true king would return to wield the Trident and save Aquastria but only if he ruled it until that day.

Fyrenaid
Alicorn Stone of Fire

Fyrenaid is a legendary sword sacred to the Dragons. It appears as a mighty and majestic hand-and-a-half sword with the Fire Stone embedded in its handle. It grants the wielder the power to command fire, as well as protection from it. The sword can set itself ablaze, can shoot flames from the tip like a flamethrower, and consume any fire (which is why the Dragons claimed it so no one could use their dragonfyre against them), and the wielder can't be burned and gains a great tolerance for heat, enabling the wielder to walk through even the most intense fires completely unharmed. The sword can also change its size to suit the size of the wielder by touching the handle.

The limit to the power of Fyrenaid is its fire is ignited by the courage of whoever wields it. If someone without courage grasped it, would be a simple sword to them. But in the grasp of a truly courageous warrior, it burns with equal intensity.

Its current wielder is the current Dragon King, Korangar.

The Aether's Call
Alicorn Stone of Air

In the glorious days of the Pegasus Empire, the Aether's Call was their most treasured relic - It is a magic flute containing the Air Stone, allowing whoever plays it to command the weather with different notes and melodies, making it superior to any weather pegasi. In addition, it can be used to influence (non-sentient) creatures that fly.

Although the pony tribes came together, Commander Hurricane was not entirely trusting of the union and hid the Call where no one would find it. However Private Pansy secretly left a trail of clues to its location should ever it be needed. Alas, the Call would eventually be found by the mercenary group known as the Shadowbolts, who then used it to hide their secret fortress in fog and stormy weather.

Taurion's Belt
Alicorn Stone of Earth

A legendary belt created and worn by a Minotaur blacksmith, Taurion's Belt bares the Earth Stone in its buckle, and grants the wearer incredible strength and semi-invulnerability, but only as long as they are touching the earth beneath their feet. In addition, it grants the wearer command over the Element of Earth.

It became a sacred tradition for the Belt to be worn by the Great Defender of the Minotaur nation, until a minotaur warlord tried to use Taurion's Belt a to conquer the other minotaur clans as well as exploit it to seek the earth’s riches, forcing their king to hide the Belt in an ancient tomb of a fabled minotaur warrior, knowing no minotaur would dare to desecrate it.

The Piece of Time
Alicorn Stone of Time

The Piece of Time is a pocket watch-like artifact that grants its possessor powers over time. The Hands of the watch each manipulate time in a different yet similar way, and are held together by the Alicorn Stone of Time in the center of the watch. The secrets of all its powers are unknown save for the following few:

The Hour Hand allows the possessor to go back or forward in time up to twenty-four hours, after which they return to the moment after they left.

The Minute Hand can reset time anywhere between a minute to an hour.

The Second Hand can slow or even freeze time for up to sixty seconds.

When Star Swirl understood the power of the Piece of Time he felt it was too dangerous to let anypony have. So he split the watch into four pieces, its three hands and the watch itself (each of the hands and the watch having a piece of the Time Stone), and hid them all apart from each other in places only he knew.

The Key to Anywhere
Alicorn Stone of Space

The Key to Anywhere is a large magical key empowered the Alicorn Stone of Space, granting the holder the power to teleport anywhere, no matter how secure! The holder must hold out the key and concentrate upon the desired location and a door-shaped portal will appear and open when the holder twists the key as though it were the door's handle. The door will open to the desired location and enable instant-travel to the location, and the door will close when the holder of the key goes through it, enabling anyone to go through the door before the holder of the key.

The one limit to this relic's power is the Key can only take the holder to a place they've been to previously.

The Key to Anywhere is currently in possession of the Greatest Thief in Equestria!

The Aegis Armor
Alicorn Stone of War

The Aegis Armor is a medallion that holds the War Stone; when its magic is activated it releases a magical energy around the wearer that turns into a magical suit of armor that gives the wearer supreme strength, speed, skill, and strategy, along with a weapon, turning the wearer into the perfect warrior. The armor not only augments the wearer's mind and body but also protects them from nearly all damage, even from the might of the most powerful of creatures, such as dragons, phoenixes, or even alicorns.

The Aegis Armor has a long and violent history, as many beings have killed each other just to take possession of it and use it to war against their enemies and become the ultimate warrior.

For that last few centuries however, it’s been lost. But the Equestrian criminal underworld is looking for it...

Pardrasil
Alicorn Stone of Life

Long ago, after Scorpan chose to do the right thing and alert the Royal Sisters of Tirek's conquest, the demon centaur was imprisoned and the Sisters offered Scorpan a home in Equestria. He kindly turned them down, deciding he had to return to his homeland and work to restore it to its former glory. So the Sisters gave him magic to aid in his goal and Scorpan returned home. With his new powers, he discovered a mysterious Stone that invigorated the growth of what few plants remained. He soon realized the powers of this Stone and took a seed before planting it along with the Stone into the ground. From it grew a tree of gargantuan magnificence!

The Tree was rich with all kinds of special properties, and spread its life-giving touch throughout the land, remaking it lush and green. Scorpan dubbed it Pardrasil, the Tree of Paradise and made it his home, keeping it safe in a Hidden Oasis.

The Tree and its parts have a myriad of special and magical uses, and the Life Stone became its very heart.

The Mirror of Self Worth & Desire
Alicorn Stone of Spirit

The Mirror of Self Worth & Desire is a double-sided handheld mirror, each side beholding a different power, with the Spirit Stone attached to the pommel of the handle. The Side of Desire allows the gazer to change their form into whatever they want, whether their size, colors, fur, feathers, limbs, appendages, even gender or species! The Side of Self Worth reflects the truth, reflecting the gazer's self on the outside as well as the inside. This side also dispels any magical disguises or transformations and is the only way to dispel any transformations done by the Side of Desire.

The Spirit Stone attached to the handle of the mirror enables the possessor to spiritually enter the spirit world but if they remain separate from their psychical body for too long they may be lost in the spirit world forever.

The Mirror is currently held in the possession of the Changeling Hive as long ago, Chrysalis saw the Mirror as a threat to her race and because it doesn't work for her or her changelings, and because they can't destroy it she has begrudgingly kept it in her treasury so no one can use it to dispel her race's ability of shapeshifting.

The Symphony of Dreams
Alicorn Stone of Dreams

Appearing as a mere music box, the Symphony of Dreams beholds great mystical power from the Dream Stone within it. Whoever falls asleep while listening to the Symphony creates a living dream in the real world that can be whatever the dreamer wants it to be, creating illusory manifestations of anything the dreamer wants which are so powerful they can be mistaken for reality. The dreamer is fully aware that their real self is asleep but an illusion of the dreamer manifests within the living dream, which can be experienced by anyone nearby.

However, the living dream will disappear once the Symphony ends, which will cause the dreamer to awaken and the living dream to fade away. The Symphony's sphere of influence extends as far as one can hear the music box as it's playing.

It was once the sacred relic of a city known as Tambelon, home to Sheep who were celebrated mystics of dreams, until one of their own, a ram known as Grogar, tried to use the Symphony to enslave sleeping minds. The Mystics of Tambelon stopped him by sealing away Tambelon into the dream plane, and were never heard from again.

The only clue lies in a mysterious bell where the city once stood.

The Phantom Mantle
Alicorn Stone of Shadows

A cloak said to be spun from shadows themselves, the Shadow Stone serves as a clasp for this ominous garment, which allows the wearer to move about unseen or as a shadow, and to commune with the dead, like a medium. It can draw upon any source of darkness, snuff out any light that is not created by magic, and emanate a cold fear to those around the wearer, as well as other shadow powers. Through the Mantle, the wearer is connected to all shadows in the world, especially those who are within the shadow of death (meaning they are possibly about to die).

It was created and currently used by the Pony of Death

The All-Seeing Spyglass
Alicorn Stone of Sight

Said to have been crafted by the legendary pirate, Captain Rothbart, the All-Seeing Spyglass grants the user virtually unlimited sight, enabling the one to look through the spyglass to see anything or anyone anywhere in the world. Not even magical wards or defenses can bar the sight of the All-Seeing Spyglass, with the Sight Stone serving as its lens.

The one limit to the Spyglass is that it cannot see other Alicorn Stones or those who have them. Additionally, it cannot show the viewer someone who is dead.

After Rothbart’s death, his crew fought over the Spyglass, only for the cabin boy to make off with it and hide it so no pirate would ever use it. The descendants of Rothbart’s crew live in the pirate town of Bloodbath Bay, where it is said lies the one clue that might lead to the location of the All-Seeing Spyglass!

The Crown of Fantasy
Alicorn Stone of Mana

The Crown of Fantasy is a powerful relic with the Mana Stone as its crown piece. By itself, it grants the wearer magical power equal to an alicorn. The limits of this powerful artifact are it can't be used to harm another living creature or subjugate free will. However...

There is a legend that portents the Crown will gain the power to make reality of anything from the wearer’s fantasy, if, and only if, the Crown is fitted with all thirteen of the Alicorn Stones. If such were to happen, the wearer of the Crown of Fantasy would gain unlimited power.

The Thirteen Treasures cannot be used against each other. They protect themselves as well as their wielders from others wielding the alicorn stone relics.
