My Final (and Rather Immediate) Decision · 12:53am Sep 19th, 2018
Well, as all of you definitely recall from the last post, I had the idea of making an MLP-Jungle Book crossover about Shere Khan coming to Equestria, as well as he and Twilight falling in love.
I know this post was rather quick after the last, but, I decided to go ahead and state my final decision on the matter.
After careful consideration, as well as looking at the number of comments stating the opinions you guys gave, I decided to cancel on the idea.
The reason would be that because a number of comments I found on my recent blog, as well as on some forum threads I made in some groups, a lot more people were against the idea more than with it. Along with that, during a time in which I have been testing myself in working on it, I just found so much about the whole thing to be so hard to work with, and nothing has really been coming out in a satisfying way for me, really.
But, I have been able to come up with some compromises to replace it with:
- I’ve been becoming very interested in working on a romance story for Twilight. And, since I counted up the votes, I decided to recast Twilight’s lover into my own OC rather than Shere Khan. I think that should make things much easier to work with too, as well as help me find what direction I’d like to go in.
- The concept of Shere Khan somehow coming to Equestria has been something I’ve been getting deeply fascinated with, and not just because he’s literally the only Disney villain I can think of at the moment that no one has done a crossover with yet. I’m particularly interested in handing the idea of it over to Dinodisneylover1 as part of his Disney Chronicle series.
- Along with handing the idea over to DDL1, I’m even wanting to suggest tons of ideas where Twilight and Khan share scenes together (no romance) in both the concept, and when the Equestrians adventure in “The Jungle Book” (and “The Jungle Book 2” if he decides to do it). It’s especially because I think they’re the perfect counterpoints of each other.
Well, anyway...
That’s my final decision.
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts about my idea in the last post, for getting me out of something that would’ve likely been a failure rather than a success, and for helping me finally decide what I’ll officially be doing next. And don’t worry, these are plans that I’ve been having in my head long before I told you all about it.

Plus, Shere Kahn can justify (at least to himself) why he wants Mougli dead, reasons outside what motivates a wild animal to kill; which also suggest saipence.
So basically, Shere Kahn's level of coherence was set to be equal to a human's ability to reason, and Equestrian Ponies are equally coherent.
Having said that...if I understand correctly; you feel that Equestian Ponies are closer to Humanity than Shere Kahn is?

Shere Kahn mirrors what seems to me, are the worst parts of humanity.
