The Thicc of It
Okay, screw this "act by act" idea; I'm posting a chapter when it's completely written and proofread, like a normal person. Gotta get me them views and followers somehow.
For avid readers, you may notice that The World Turned Upside Down has seen a bit of logistical re-organisation. What was originally meant to be chapter 13 is now 2.2, indicating the act and chapter within the act. Some chapters have been merged, some shortened, and most now have the very innovative l i n e b r e a k, hopefully meaning it's a little easier to read without completely losing my writing style.
I've also added new cover art (at long last), done by yours truly, with the original silhouettes by Robipony.
Mad props to him for boosting my personal confidence as an artist.
Now, down to the nitty-gritty of the chapter. 2.2 was not really all the tough to write, to be honest. I'd planned what Amber says during her breakdown a while back, so the only real question was how to get her to that point, and the answer was, fortunately, very simple: go for the heart. She's already started facing an uncomfortable truth - that she isn't as good as she thinks she is - so now it was time to call her out on it.
I'll leave you to see just how Adam does that, and what danger looms over the horizon for the both of them.
(Back To) The Future
Right, so, for university, I have an art assignment due this Sunday if I'm not allowed an extension, as well as a 3D animation assignment, so I'll be pretty full up. On top of that, there are assets I need to make for a game, also a university project. I'll write when I can, though, don't worry.
As for future writing, there's the romance I've been meaning to write for a while. I just started yesterday and I'm already about 1.9k words through of an estimated... say... 5k. And, I have to say, it's shaping up a little better than expected. I intend for it to be a T-rated fic, and it's mainly to get the stick out of my ass and loosen up a little; sure, I can be artistic, but there's nothing wrong in writing mindless, if well-written garbage where you don't have to keep second-guessing every damn choice you make and whether it teaches a moral or something.
In other words, I can be arty, but I can also be fun.
I hope.
