Guard Tiara News: Bad, Good, Bad. · 8:56pm Aug 28th, 2018
Earlier today, I was thinking about Guard Tiara, and I've come to a decision. It's kind of a bad news, good news, more bad news kind of thing.
First bad news: I will not be continuing Guard Tiara as it currently is. I know there are those who will be disappointed, and I'm sorry. Unfortunately, with the way things have changed in the show since I wrote it, it has kind of become completely off. I know I could continue it as an alternate universe tag, but that's not something I really want to do for some reason.
The good news: That does not mean I am completely abandoning the idea behind Guard Tiara. Instead, I'm going to do a re-boot. It will be a full ground up rewrite, starting completely over, and taking the events of the movie and the later seasons of the show into account as well. I can play around with it and make changes, but not outright contradict it. This also means that, since it's a full re-write, the original will be able to stay posted for those that enjoyed it.
Second bad news: It unfortunately is going to be a while before I get to it. Not only am I going to try and work on some other stories first (completing Multiple Sunsets, getting another part of Friendship is Shining and Rainbow Unicorn, or maybe a new original piece), but I also want to wait until the final season is finished. That way, I don't have to worry about the show later contradicting anything, and possibly will have more of a canon framework to work with.
Again, I'm sorry to those who are disappointed that the story as it currently is will not continue, and understand any frustration at the somewhat open ending of the last one. However, I am hoping that with the time and experience I've gained since, I will be able to write a better, updated version, that just as many will enjoy.
Hey man, it's your story, it's your choice. I will support you. A lot has changed since you started writing it, you've changed and improved, so I'm sure that whenever Guard Tiara 2: Diamond Boogaloo arrives in our feeds, it'll be great.

Looking forward to the new Guard Tiara ... really enjoyed the old one, but I definitely get how much canon has moved on since you wrote it. And speaking of canon changes, I'm kinda wondering if Spoiled and Suri are related somehow ... or if they ever meet, because they're very similar and it could get interesting.
