Thoughts on "Friendship University"

Eh? I mean, it's not bad, just... kind of dull.

Flim Flams come in and sing and scam again, I guess. Except there's no Applejack this time. Although the joke about Flim and Flam not knowing who Rarity is pretty funny. And I got a little hopped up over "Plainity's" cap looking like Bell Pepper's.

Yeah, the episode is that dull that of the episode itself, I just zone in on the best joke and random details that make me think of my own stuff. Like how that one Tree Hugger cameo made me think of Aura Springs and headcanon that Star Swirl was visiting Aura Springs' big nature park, or maybe that Star Swirl bumped into Cheese Sandwich at one point during his travels and attended a Cheese party (hey, I'd totally read a fic about that). And while most other people would do the classic friendly and goofy host that Cheese is known for being... well, my version would have Cheese being pretty uncomfortable around Star Swirl even as he tries to be a gracious host, given that the last time he encountered a sorcerer from over a millennium ago, it didn't go so well for him.

I could say something about Neighsay and Cozy Glow, but I'm leaving it to the conspiracy theorists.
