IN WHICH I DIDN'T CARE BUT WROTE ANYWAY
I didn't really have a music video in mind when I started this post. I'm out of FatRat and Laura material, so enjoy some Ladybaby 1.0.
The lyrics are actually fairly poignant and relevant to today's economy. Anyway, onto the show:
First off, I want to thank my readers and followers for catapulting Sunset On The Couch to a spot on the Non-M-Rated Feature List, even if just for a few hours.
BUT, the reaction also lent credence to a theory I had going into this: Any story I write with Sunset Shimmer in it is automatically going to do better than my stories with other characters even if those other stories are technically better.
I'm not sure if this is because Sunset is a more popular character, or because I as a horsewords writer am so strongly associated with Sunset, but it did make me think.
When I was at the gym last night, I tried to block out external stimuli to come up with more short story ideas. My broken brain came up with two, one of which I wrote today.
Yes, the whole thing. Today. In literally fifty minutes (plus tweak-time to get an even word count). It's ready to post but I think I'll wait a day or so. After all, I don't want to spam the site.
So… this upcoming story will be more of me testing my hypothesis. It will also be my third attempt at a badfic. As with my first attempt, I couldn't help but stick my tongue firmly in cheek and the spelling and grammar are too consistent to be mistaken for the writer I'm aping. But dammit I'm trying.
Look forward to District Attorney Pinkie Pie and Tickle-fetish Fluttershy, and Twilight being the straight man and not an antagonist for once! There. Does that make you happy? Twilight isn't a raging bitch this time! Well okay, she is but it's actually justified because the world has gone completely bonkers.
