The one where Starlight just straight up kills Discord.
But seriously, I nearly dropped my jaw at that banishing scene. She just blasted a guy out of existence! In front of children!
Anyway...
I am a little conflicted about this episode. On the one hand, it's hilarious. Magic-wise, Discord really shines here, and makes the school just go absolutely mad in various ways. Whether it be bringing things to life, summoning random creatures, referencing memes (granted, the meme references made me cringe at the same time), hiring poor substitute teachers (the Iron Will and Yona scene was great, especially when Yona went a little bonkers), or messing with gravity, this was just a treat to watch. I laughed a lot during this episode.
On the other hand... well, character-wise, Discord is being childish. Again. And in a way that just goes a little too far. Yeah, I know he's a jerk, but when he turns the school upside-down because the Mane Six never invited him to help out with the school, he's not exactly helping his case. If I were a school administrator, why would I hire a guy who continually vandalizes the school and sabotages classes, just because he's mad that he didn't get hired in the first place? I know you can't exactly call the police on Discord, but seeing him basically get off with a slap on the wrist leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
At least Starlight, Spike, and the students were fine. I actually kind of ship Gallus and Silverstream now. Dunno, it seems cute to me.
But, you know, mixed bag. Great humor, but the message is a little iffy.
