Update on Fo:E - Infinite Potential chapter 11 · 5:13pm Jul 9th, 2018
Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh!
Remember how several months back I wrote an update about chapter 10, and how I promised that after finishing chapter 10 I would write chapters 11 and 12 in a row, without writing chapters for my other stories in between as I usually do. Well... I think I will have to cancel that plan. Chapter 11 is still coming out next, but I'm gonna switch it up afterwards.
I've been writing chapter 11 for almost two months now, and it's still not done. Not just because it's that long - currently 21,5 k words, and still have two-three more scenes to wrap up - but also because I hardly had the time to write it. Work keeps taking more and more of my time and leaving me exhausted after it's finished. Honestly, one week, I would return back to base after 6 pm everyday. After getting something for dinner and taking shower, I would have about 2-4 hours for myself, depending whether or not I would have to do something for work for the next day. I hope nobody will blame me if I would use that short time for relaxing rather than writing 
Now, to be perfectly honest, I cannot blame this delay solely on work. Last week, when I got home for weekend, I didn't write at all, and instead played WoW about 80% of my time (with the next expansion coming out soon, I needed to get Ahead of the Curve achievement; got it, but I will write about that in another blog). And there had been days when I hadn't written anything despite having time. I guess I can blame that one on being mentally exhausted though, so it still comes back to work.
That being said, I did write. Like I said, chapter is almost ready, and I think it's quite good. But anyway, what does this have to do with me working on something else instead of chapter 12? Well, the chapters for my other two stories are only about a few thousand words long. You might have noticed that, as of late, this isn't the case with Infinite Potential. With the other two chapters being much shorter, I could get them done sooner, and the attention and praise I would receive from the fans of those stories would give me a mental boost, make me feel better and stuff. Since they are so short in comparison, I should be able to write a few during my stay here.
So... yeah, until I finally get out of this delegation and be given archaeological assigments in my home town so that I would have relatively normal amount of free time, I'm afraid I will put Infinite Potential on hold. I believe it will only last until end of August, though, so basically even if I were to write a next chapter now it would take about as much time. And I mean, when I decided on writing all those chapter in a row, I had expected to wrap both of them up by the end of JUNE. All so that I could finish up this arc by the end of this year. Well, that ship has already sailed I'm afraid 
I hope you will forgive me for going back on my word like this. I just don't believe it would be productive if I would force myself to write the next chapter in those conditions, I need to be more relaxed to write.
Well, that's all from me for now. Chapter 11 should be ready in about... two weeks, maybe, then another week for proofreading and editing. Chapter 12 will probably come out sometime in September or early October.
Ah, sorry, Borsuq. Don't worry about taking a bit of time to relax or modifying the schedule to suit new conditions, and thank you for the information and writing. :)
