You know, guys... I'm considering finishing my stories and never returning to this site ever again. Site updates are crap and it moves towards genfic, which is... well... everything. Every single fic. No matter how bad. Rape fics, bad fetish fics... I have enough of this already and I don't like it.
I might even make my own small website for hosting my stories. I don't have anything for it and it obviously won't be that popular but, you know... At least I'm not getting crap pushed into my face.
My friend told me this, and I'm afraid that will become true sooner or later:

I know I'll disappoint a lot of people, but... I'm already really disappointed by the MLP community. I like ponies, I really do. I like writing about them. But... I don't like a lot of people that claim to like MLP. The main idea is friendship and such, but all I see is people hiding behind it and turning it into something else entirely, something that is awful.

It could've been avoided if those people who owned MLP-related websites actually cared about MLP, but... All they care about is revenue. I do understand it, but fucking hell... I like ponies for what they are. I do add my own stuff to it, but I do not cross the line of the moral horizon, so to say. Some people might say that I do and I don't blame them, but I definitely don't want things like, say, non-consensual stuff to be a norm and such. MLP is about friendship. It's about positivity and finding it. I see nothing positive in... what I previously mentioned.

Your point is? For anything good humans made, there's an equal amount if not more bad stuff. We had more than two thousand years to sort everything out. And yet, from generation to generation, we face the same problems and we can't solve them. Not to mention that only a handful of people ever pushed humanity forward. Most either didn't care or couldn't care because they were oppressed by a selected few as well, who might or might've not cared about anything but themselves.

Well, I don't need to compare humans to any other intelligent species because I know some good people to compare the most of the world to. And, well, the majority speaks for the minority. People are awful but individuals can be amazing, if that makes sense to you.
If I think like you... What if we aren't contacted by aliens because to them, we are disgusting savages? What if they are infinitely better than us and managed to solve the problems we have?
Humans, for the most part, are still as animalistic as any other animal. Not many people are willing to think or act on their thoughts.
