I continue not to be dead.
Although my pony word output is embarrassing, I'm still quite interested in the fandom. In fact, just months after attending my first US pony Con, BABS Con, I had the honor of organizing Sad Sac 2018. My thanks to our illustrious guests of honor, horizon and Rocket Lawn Chair, with whom I was able to distract ourselves from not being able to make it to EFNW make the event a resounding success.
Horizon's post mentioned the decor, so I will share some exclusive pics of the venues, and their totally-not-coincidental equine-themed art:

In other news, my writing has been through a few rough patches, what with getting a job in the US. I can't say I'm exactly thrilled with what I ended up with, but it pays the bills, and things have stabilized. Lately I've been able to establish a decent writing schedule, and the first draft of my main writing project - an original fiction novel - is almost done. Once I finish it, I'm hoping to take a breather before I switch to editing.
Ahyhow, those are the things, I suppose.
Oh my. I’d just about written you off as gone for greener pastures. Good to hear you’re still around and doing well. We’ve lost so many authors over the years who’ve just lost interest in the show and/or fandom.

nah see three years without posting anything is still rather dead as far as activity goes. you may still be kicking around but these stories aren't.

I'm working on an original fiction Sci-fi novel that has monopolized my writing time, as I would dearly love to quit my mind-numbing day job. The first draft is nearing completion, though that will be just the start of the revision process. Still, it will hopefully be less intense than the initial drafting.

Yeah, sorry about that; I guess it's not as bad when you know where things are going. I marked the story as on hiatus because I don't want folks having publishing expectations, but I still hold hope of finishing it once I can get back into a writing groove. For what it's worth, I have written 150k words since the last chapter came out - just not on JPT.
