Random snippet to prove I’m still alive

“I got the time off!” The familiar voice emanating from the landline handset was jubilant.

A broad grin crossed Sunset’s face. “Great! Y’know, I can’t remember the last time both our vacation times lined up.”

“Four years, seven months, and twelve days.” The dry, and dryly humorous, reply came back instantly. “But who’s counting?”

    Everfree Northwest

So, uh, yeah, I’m here. I guess I should have mentioned it earlier, but it slipped my mind. Better late than never, I guess.

    Tidbits

Cutie marks · 5:06am May 14th, 2018

Simple, clear, and yet with the potential for deeper meaning. Excellent work!

(Also, interesting to see stars representing pegasi, assuming I'm reading the top-right symbol correctly.)

You are indeed! The symbols are based on the tribal banners in “Hearth’s-Warming Eve”.

I did my best to achieve exactly those goals. It helps that cutie-mark design calls more for graphic-design skills than art skills in the usual sense. They’re more like logos—what people of the nineteenth century called trademarks—or heraldic devices than illustrations.
