Writing Tip RE: My Latest Story · 9:20am Apr 7th, 2018

In case anybody's looking for tips on how I portray characters like Twilight, Fluttershy, and Maud in my anthro stories...

This is basically how to do it:

It's as simple as that.

I mean as far as anthro (and ponies and humans I guess) characters in clopfics go, that's all you really need. The dialogue and descriptions are where the real work starts with these kinds of fics in my opinion.

You don't want to make things too descriptive so it's still approachable to read, but at the same you don't want to make them so cringey or laughable (unless that's what you're deliberately going for) that the readers write the story off as a joke or a trollfic.

Clopfic writer's like you and Frocto seem to have a good balance going so far.

Pretty much.

I'm glad you think I have a good handle on it. Basically, I just try to have very precise proportions in my head and convey them in the story, as well as keep them in mind while I write it.
