So I've been mulling it over and I've decided to finish the next chapter, write an epilogue and end the story there.
The reason being that I've been neglecting Sparkle and I really, really need to get back to it.
FEAR NOT!
There will be a sequel that I'll start working on as soon as I'm done with the next chapter of Sparkle - and no there won't be a huge time skip in between stories. It'll start right where it left off.
Anyway I just thought it'd be only fair to let you guys know ahead of time. Apologies in advance if the decision upsets anyone, but I do wanna thank you guys for all the support thus far! 
A bit disappointing, but I'll support it. Hope the sequel is just as good as the original!

At the least, it'll give you chance to come up with a better name for the fic. The Viruses of Harmony is a bit of a low hanging fruit. Appropriate, but no points for originality.

Fair enough I guess. I decided to write the story on a whim and the title kind of took a backseat to... well... everything else, really.
