    Howdy!

Wowee, it's been a while! I'm still very much alive, as you can see. Last update from me on here was almost two years ago, I can't say a whole lot has changed other than my place of employment and relationship status.

    Moving on

As an update to my last blog post, which was made back in April, things haven't really changed. In fact, it's almost certain at this point that I will not be writing on this site any more.

I had some great ideas. I really did. But I just don't have the drive to write them anymore. I don't even really like MLP enough anymore to be interested in continuing a fictional universe about it.

    (PLEASE READ) I'm leaving.

Yeah, it's true. I'm gonna be leaving FIMFiction.

Only for a little while, though. I'll be back at some point. There's just a lot going on in my life, on top of the fact that I've had absolutely no drive to write at all for the last two months.

I'm so sorry · 5:46pm Feb 26th, 2018

I know it isn't much of a big deal considering how busy my life can get, or how much I can procrastinate, but I still feel obligated to apologize for being as slow as I am anymore. Now that I am (hopefully) set to graduate high school in June and have a job (which I return to some time next month), time is precious, and I find myself spending less and less of it writing.

Having been without a computer from October to December was a big setback already, and now that my new computer is still having issues, it's causing me to lose some interest in writing in fear that I may lose major progress should it crash on me. I've worked a way around it, but only temporary, and that is by using my school computer to work on while keeping my ideas written in a Google Doc for easy access. But why only temporary? Because this computer belongs to my school, and I imagine they will want it back once all is said and done. So, until I work out a solution for my personal computer's problems, I'll be continuing my stories on my school laptop as long as I can.

Hurdles aside, I'm a big procrastinator with writer's block a good 80% of the time. I'm slow to come up with ideas of how to progress a chapter, and sometimes a simple coherent sentence or paragraph that brings me to a certain part I am ready to write or have already written can take me hours or days to figure out. Or, simply, I've held on to an idea long enough that once it comes time to write it, the idea has long left my mind and so I'm stuck trying to work out where to begin.

If I hadn't lost my old computer back in October, Millennia: Eye of the Storm would have been finished over a month ago more than likely, but I bet it would have been much different than it currently sits at. Alas, I'm satisfied with how it currently is and ready to hopefully churn out these last three, long-ass chapters by the end of March.

After EoTS is finished, my plan is to focus on A Sailor's Notes, which I have neglected for too long. Lately I have made some decent progress on chapter 10, raising it to nearly 1,400 words from the roughly 600 it sat at for months. Frankly, it's been this chapter specifically that has been holding me up. But now that I've developed more of Anchorage in my Millennia stories, it's helping me figure out my next moves in his origin story, which I HOPE to finish this spring or summer.

Another story I've been severely neglecting to write update is Deceitful Royalty, which hasn't had a chapter posted since October and has been on hiatus since then. Reason why is because I had a lot of my ideas written down on my old computer, whose hard drive has since been moved onto a flash drive by a friend so I can recover everything I thought I had lost, so I've chosen to focus elsewhere until I get those ideas back and can proceed with the story. After Eye of the Storm and A Sailor's Notes are finally done, other than some projects I don't have plans of publishing soon, my attention will focus solely toward Deceitful Royalty and get it finished ahead of Starfall's release in September or October, and perhaps The Guard of the Sun, as well.

It's alright, my friend. Take all the time you need.

Relax dude, as I have always told you. RL before OL, that is just how life works.

Getting a USB to store your files on (temporary) could be a easy solution?

The files from my old computer were moved over to one. When I see my friend next I'm going to get it and the computer back.
