Fandoms Are Always So Strange · 8:36am Jan 13th, 2018
I just spent some time poking around in the Doki Doki Literature Club subreddit. It's like looking into an alternate reality. I mean, those words are in English and I recognize sentence structure, but it's just a bizarre display. It's really hard to tell where reality starts and memes are ending. It's hard to figure out who is roleplaying and what is a serious argument. They are currently in the midst of a rather heated waifu war. It's kinda intense.
Bronies are really the only fandom that I ever joined, and I wasn't here for the very, very beginning. I started watching MLP in the break between seasons one and two. It leaves me wondering if this wild west feel was what bronies were like before I got here. It's like watching a galaxy forming.
And there's no point in arguing about Doki waifus anyway. Yuri is clearly the best.

Indeed, Yuri is clearly the best. Those Dokifolk don't know what they're arguing about.
Sorry, were we arguing that Yuri isn't the best Doki? That's a weird thing to do.

It's kind of amazing in that game that they still make me like Monika.

Yeah, man. Seems clear as day to me. Not even a contest.
