Today marks the thirtieth anniversary of the original TMNT TV series (A thirtieth anniversary of the original Mirage comics happened four years ago. While I don't have the story I wanted to celebrate this just yet, I would like to take this time share my feelings with Ninja Turtles Overall.

As a kid, I remember watching the original films more than the Original TV show. There is also "The Next Mutation" with Venus de Milo, but I won't go into detail about that abomination. I definitely remember the 2003 series, which is to date the closest we have in media form the comics. Sadly, I wasn't that much of a fan than as a Kid (I was more focused on the Battle City Arc in Yugioh while it became cool).

Time passes and the 2007 movie, a song cover by Horse the Band, slowly gained my interests with the franchise. It was the announcement of the 2012 TV series that I thought, "well, Transformers Prime is good, maybe Ninja Turtles could add more to the excitement." It was in the middle of Season 1, and having my wisdom teeth ripped out, that I started watching the series. Yeah, that couldn't be any truer. I could imagine my parents having some relief. As I delved into animation and into the voice actors, I find that well-crafted CG cartoons are slowly becoming almost movie quality. If you start off at the beginning, you first notice the animation looking rubbery, but as the show goes on, the animation improves substantially though this does come at a cost with mid-season hiatuses. But from time to time, the staff shows an animatic or two to keep us in the loop. My favorite of which

Looking back at the past two animated series, I still find the 2012 animated series to be my favorite with the 2003 series being a good second. In unofficial terms, there is an ongoing comic dub of the IDW comics on Youtube that I actually enjoy. If you aren't a person with a luxury for comic books, I'd give that a watch.

As of the past November, the 2012 series has ended and the voice actors for the Turtles send their regards. However, in 2018, there's going to be a reboot in which Rob Paulson, who voiced Raphael and Donatello in his career overall, is going to be a voice director. Will it be good? Perhaps, I just have to wait and see.

If there's anything I've missed, feel free to ask below. For now,

I'm not excited about the reboot, I'm just afraid it'll be another Teen Titans Go ripoff, and we already have 2 of those, and they're both terrible. Unless it'll at least try to follow the formula of the past shows, then I'm more than happy to give it a try.
