Post Christmas... Thing · 3:01am Dec 27th, 2017
And I've changed my icon to something else. As amusing as the drawing of my ponysona dressed like a queen was prior to the elf thing for Christmastime, I figured I might as well shake things up this time around. So, I used one of the many Cheese Sandwich pictures in my files.
I think it's an accurate depiction of how Cheese would react reading Brotherly Bonding Time.
"Why are you torturing me so much? I thought I was your favorite pony!"
Storytelling purposes. I do this to every character I like, cupcake.
In other news, I shall now brag about my loot. I had a mostly good Christmas (save for being dragged to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and eating very little because I don't like Chinese food at all and I couldn't even find the option of plain white rice on the menu...).
Among my presents were an MLP loop scarf that Mom made for me, a Mane Six keychain, a shirt with this design on it, lilac perfume, a Kindle, a calendar, a 3D puzzle, and a gravy boat (my sister Marshy gave that to me as a joke). In hindsight, I should have asked for a pencil bag, so I don't have to dig through my art bag for a pencil whenever I have my art itch, but overall, I like my gifts (though I have no idea what to do about the gravy boat). I also got gift cards from my grandparents on my Dad's side and the higher-ups at work, and gloves from neighbors.
I'm also happy that Marshy liked the presents I got for her (a Funko Pop of her favorite character from My Hero Academia and a Voltron jacket), as did my brother (a plasma ball lamp), and I think my mom liked the toaster oven I got her?
We also had a friend of my brother and sister-in-law stay over for the holiday so she wouldn't be alone, and my Grandma (Mom's side) as well--Grandma took my bed, the friend had my sister Artsy's bunk, so I had to sleep on a cot in the basement. Everybody was worried about me getting cold, while I was worried about me getting hot. I even wear summer pajamas in the winter because of this weird heat issue of mine.
Oh, and we got to video chat with Artsy (which is why my Grandma slept over)! Artsy's best friend and our cousin with her new husband also came over. After about 20 minutes of technical difficulties until we got a video chat thing up, we spent about an hour and a half chatting with her about how things are going over there in the South and here back home. She got a little snow in her area, while we had a full-blown white Christmas. Marshy and I showed her I couple of the stupid inside jokes we developed while she was gone (she was amused by them). She even told a couple of funny stories about a couple of weirdos she's bumped into and the weird sights she seen. It was fun actually talking to her again.
I spent most of my day working on my 3D puzzle (it was a panda) and playing on my Kindle. So, I'm satisfied with Christmas this year.
