Lots of fantasy novels have maps and drawings at the beginning in order to help the reader know where things are taking place. J.R.R. Tolkien, for example, was a prolific master of fantasy map-making. A good map can add to the reader's sense of immersion and to the world-building efforts undertaken by the author. I've always thought that The Flight of the Alicorn is the kind of travelling action-adventure that could really benefit from a map, and the so-called "canon map" simply would not do. Thankfully, WizardWannabe stepped up to the plate again, and helped me create the official map for my story. I hope you like it!
This is the official map that will appear in the printed hardcover. If you really like it, please let the artist know

Nice
You keep mentioning the hardcover… how will one proceed to get it?
Awesome, looking forward to it

I will do a big post once I have a finished copy in my hands that I am happy with. Should be a couple of weeks yet.
Datum... I really have to start reading that story next week.
Ok. Now I need the printed hardcover! NAO!
Very nice!
Waiting so eagerly for the hardcover edition!
amazing
Pretty snazzy indeed! Now we just need the animated version, with the dotted line following the flight path and the rousing theme song playing over it all.

The feature film version exists only in my dreams, sadly! Glad you like the map anyway. I think it turned out fantastically well!

This is a pretty awesome map. And I can't wait for the hardcover!
Sweet. An improvement over the canon map, in a lot of ways. I see you've included the missing cities of Hoofington and Trottingham, along with the Gate of Tartaurus. Putting that in the Badlands was a good idea, and appropriate. What are those petroglyph things on the mountains north of that?
I prefer this idea of the griffons sharing a continent with Equestria; making their land the equivalent of Europe doesn't really work for me. The designs of their Eyries look pretty cool, too, from what we can tell.
Man, this really boosted my already-high anticipation for the sequel. No rush, of course, but do you have anything like an ETA on that?
Awesome stuff all around. Alright, that's it! After nearly a month and a half of little fanfic due to life getting into the way, I'm getting back into it by finishing Flight of the Alicorn! Just two chapters to finish for what has been an epic story! Time to jump onto this!
Oh, and I hope to work in some comment. Next to continuing to write my own story, this is my high priority to the week.
This is brutal. In a good way.
NEXT STORY NAO PLZ
This is awesome, but it's a bit small and the text is hard to read
but still awesome
