No updates for more than a year, oh my...

    Erm... I live?

    *sees glares*

    OK, I am sorry. Really.

    So here is the stuff:

    1) I have found to my displeasure that I need to go back to drawing board for the Western Wastelands arc in the "Fallout: Equestria Girls" story. I can churn out a chapter or two without doing that, and then I will have to rethink a number of things.

Going on a vacation for 2 weeks

Internet reception is not likely to be good, so I am basically offline; if I do happen to come around, it's not for long.

Sorry everyone, was not able to update anything in time.

    Whelp

I haven't seen "Forgotten Friendship" in full yet, but from what bits I saw on YouTube, my own headcanon got screwed (namely, that Sunset never got back to Equestria and never saw Princess Twilight and Princess Celestia until the events of Fallout: Equestria Girls).

Expect some retcon. There won't be much, but Chapter 31 at least will have to be re-written a bit.

No, I am not cancelling any of my WIP stories. It's other things.

My Internet at home got wacky and stopped working. After trying and failing to fix it by ourselves, we called a tech specialist from customer support, who did something (I don't know what) and set us up a connection with Internet cable directly in our computer, without our Wi-Fi router on, and told us that our router is broken (which I doubt, as prior to his coming the Internet did not work with direct connection either). Unlike he promised, the Internet is still not stable, but somehow it resumes working just when I am two seconds away from calling the support again (damn techno-heresy!).

What's worse, however, is that our computer is also very wacky. There were times when the system would not load, or the PC would shut down suddenly all by itself. We let it stand unused for a day and so far it keeps up working, but I have no damn idea if it keeps up. I suspect a power bloc is malfunctioning, or maybe there's too much dust inside, but this means there's a chance I may be forced to let my mom use my laptop, and that my only Internet connection at home is a celluar network connection, which is limited to 8GB (or 15GB, not that it largely matters) per month.

So basically I can only write at my job (or use an offline Word document), again.

This derails my update schedule even worse, and I have doubts I can squeeze at least one chapter prior to New Year.

There's other thing. I am an Orthodox Christian, and I realized, to my horror, that I have not undergone Eucharist even once. I am not an exemplary believer, but not doing Eucharist for the whole year is too much, and this means I will be fasting from this Thursday until Sunday; this means I will be absent from this site and writing as well as part of the fasting.

Sorry for the even worse delay, people :fluttershysad: I'll do my best to provide you with a new chapter of Fallout: Equestria Girls ASAP.

Don't worry the fact that you keep us updated is already enough. Hope things gets better soon, take your time

Don't worry about. My computer at home is restarting on its own and erases any of my last sentence while I'm trying to save it on fanfiction.net docs.
I'm glad your able to give updates when you can.

Thanks. Hopefully, we will be able to fix that stuff without busting money on a new PC. This won't be cheap if it were to happen.

Worse could've happened (God forbid though). It's good that you choose to update your fans, that simple gesture alone is very appreciated.

All the best with your fast. Growing up in a country where fasting is done by the majority religious faith has taught me that it is not a simple task; it requires great discipline and commitment. Stay strong and God be with you.

God forbid, indeed.

Thank you, I don't want to leave my readers with no information.

It is indeed not easy, as I have become aware since I started to pay more attention to my faith.

Thank you for kind words  If you don't mind me asking, which country are you from? I am a Russian.

Random PC shutdowns like that are a common symptom of the CPU overheating more often than not. So it sounds like you may need to clean the heatsink at the very least with compressed air, you may also want to replace the thermal compound that sits between the CPU and heatsink too, clean the old stuff with isopropyl alcohol and then replace it with a grain of rice sized amount of thermal compound.

Fasts have always confused me as a practice, but I hope yours goes smoothly and your tech problems get fixed soon.

Thanks for the advice. I am afraid I don't really have the practice to do so myself, but I should be able to call on some contacts.

Thanks

Somehow i think theres more going on. What do you use for service? cable, dsl or something else?

4746869

Cable, I suppose, if you mean optic fiber (at least I think it's optic fiber)

4746918

Fibres a whole different thing from cable

4746926

I must have confused something.

Is it cable when one uses a phone line for Internet connection, or not?

4747013

No, thats DSL (I have DSL, there are no other options available out here)
