After months of work (I started writing at the end of March and kept at it during any free evenings and weekends I had up ’til now), I’ve finished another novella in my Lyra and Bon Bon Series. We’re moving forward to look at moments in their relationship that take place slightly later than where Friendship Is Magic is currently at! (Well, we will be once chapter four begins.) This is a sequel to Lyra’s Journey and My True Self – it’s a little bit shorter than the latter, but not by much. The entire story will be published over the course of the next six days.
Without giving anything away, expect a more dramatic tone in this work than there was in my previous two novellas. As much as I love watching Lyra and Bon Bon banter, the events of this story didn’t give them too many opportunities to relax and joke around. Though there aren’t enough slice-of-life scenes to justify the use of that tag, the Romance tag is still applicable – this is definitely a story about how they love one another.
After I publish this, I’ll be going quiet for a while, as I’ve been putting off a lot of other projects in order to get this finished. Eventually, I’ll probably write some more one-chapter pieces. All of the other ideas that I thought I’d have time to work on this year are still just sitting there, after all.
But who knows how long that’ll take? You should probably just start reading the story that’s actually been published. Please enjoy Devotion.
