Mid-mornings were for dropping off candy at Sugarcube Corner. The breakfast crowd was gone, so it gave Bon Bon a chance to briefly chat with the Cakes during a time that they weren’t overwhelmed by an onslaught of orders. The atmosphere probably would have been even quieter and more relaxed if she made her deliveries before the breakfast crowd arrived, but there was no way she was waking up that early.

Look out – I had a story inspiration for a contest in sufficient time to actually write the story before the contest's deadline!

Tell LyraBon About It (a supplementary one-scene story) · 8:27pm Sep 13th, 2021

(there will be spoilers after the break)

Hello to everybody who read and enjoyed One Wavelength of the Rainbow! Your views and likes were much appreciated, and I too mourn the decrease in activity on Fimfiction that allowed one of my stories to make it into the featured box.

Deleted text from my most recent story · 9:05pm Sep 8th, 2021

This was too much of a digression to include in One Wavelength of the Rainbow, but I didn't want to throw it out entirely. I'm sure other stories have addressed this subject more thoroughly and satisfyingly than the few paragraphs I've written here, but I do find it to be an interesting jumping-off point to think about.

Happy Hearth's Warming Eve from the LyraBon household · 8:51am Dec 24th, 2020

Nobody ships Lyra and Bon Bon harder than Lyra and Bon Bon themselves.

This year, Lyra hung about three dozen sprigs of mistletoe across the beams of their living room ceiling. It only became awkward when Golden Harvest stopped by for an unexpected visit.

If you don't particularly care about the answer to that question, then there's no need for you to read the following lengthy post. But I figured that I should explain myself.

This wasn't covered in "On the Origin of Species" · 10:33pm Jun 20th, 2020

Instead of going to bed at a reasonable hour last night, I found myself plumbing the memories of my childhood by looking up the 1986 cartoon Popples.

While reading summaries of the characters, I was struck by the description of Party Popple. Watch this episode from the show for about twenty seconds (start from 1:14 if the video doesn't do that on its own):

Bon Bon loved Lyra for reasons too numerous to count. Well, maybe, if given enough time, she could count all of them, but she had more important things to do with that time. Like be with Lyra.

What's the pony equivalent of Boxing Day? · 4:09am Dec 27th, 2019

I enjoyed participating in Jinglemas, probably because I drew characters that I was able to write a not-horrible story with. (I saw the combinations other authors received. I don't know what I would have done with some of those.)

I suppose it *was* a celebration of being in love · 1:30am Dec 27th, 2019

Last week, I went to the wedding of a relative in an astronomical line of work. During the reception, each table had a card displaying the name of a constellation. Each card was different.

I was told where to sit. When I sat down, which constellation was on that table's card, positioned directly in front of me?

Lyra.

Some might call it frequency illusion. I call it cosmically apropos.
