I can too write a story in less than two months

Look out – I had a story inspiration for a contest in sufficient time to actually write the story before the contest's deadline!

Well, "sufficient" might be a strong word. In reality, I wish I had more time to polish this (and create a less hurried cover image), but real life obligations say that that's not going to happen. And I'm not really expecting to finish the contest in one of the top positions – especially because I'm entering a crackship contest, but the ship I wrote makes complete and total sense. However, the rule was simply that the characters wouldn't naturally cross paths in canon, so this story qualifies.

But it's fun to be part of things. And if you want to read a romantic story between two characters who seem really obvious for a relationship once you think about it, but whose stories together on this site can be counted on one hand, then I've got you covered. Please enjoy Derpy's Big Crush.
