Miss Koi Finally Reviews The MLP movie · 4:19am Nov 4th, 2017

WARNING! I WILL BE DISCUSSING SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE IN MY REVIEW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! SO HOLD ONTO YOUR PONIES! (I GOT THIS FUN LITTLE PHRASE FROM THIS VERY FUN REVIEW OF THE MOVIE. THIS ALSO HAS SPOILERS AS WELL.)

BUT, I WILL SAY THIS: PLEASE PLEASE, GO SEE THIS MOVIE (IF YOU STILL CAN). IT IS SO WORTH THE WHOLE MOVIE TICKET, AS RIDICULOUS AS IT MAY BE SOMETIMES OR ALL THE TIME (DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE I GUESS). I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS MOVIE AND GIVE IT 9 HEARTS OUT OF 10 <3 PLEASE GO IT SEE FIRST AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN;) IF WE HAVE BOX OFFICE NUMBERS THAT GO BEYOND THE BUDGET THAT WENT INTO THIS MOVIE, WE COULD HAVE A SEQUEL! THIS MOVIE DESERVES AND NEEDS A SEQUEL BECAUSE IT HAS LEFT ME WANTING MORE! I’LL EXPLAIN MORE ON WHY I NEED A SEQUEL TO THIS MOVIE. BUT PLEASE, SEE THIS MOVIE ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE AND NOT EVERY THEATER IS SHOWING THIS MOVIE WHICH IS A CRIME!:0 AND THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ONLY GO TO MOVIES DURING OCTOBER FOR HORROR FILMS AND SUCH, AND USUALLY OCTOBER IS NOT THE MOST POPULAR TIME TO BRING YOUR KIDS TO THE MOVIES AND SUCH. BUT ANYWAY, SEE THIS MOVIE IN THE THEATER WHILE YOU STILL CAN BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN EVERY THEATER OUT THERE (HOWEVER BASED ON ITS NUMBERS SO FAR, IT’S ACTUALLY DOING PRETTY GOOD DESPITE THAT DISADVANTAGE, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN WE CAN’T GO BEYOND THOSE NUMBERS AND EXPECTATIONS).

Oh man, wow. Where do I even begin with this movie?!XD Well, for starters, as a promise to my good friend Ink Quill on Fimfiction (, I promised them if I liked this movie, I would say:
“Shoo be doo! Shoo shoo be doo!”
In honor of my sea pony cousins (well not by blood, more like in heart. Don’t worry, you’ll see what I later;))

(I decided to give you guys a variety of covers of this song in order to give you guys a choice on which song you would like to listen to cause they’re all good. Just sayin;))

Anyway, onto the review! The first thing I want to talk about, in terms of this film obviously, is the animation<3 I may have been hesitant before, but I was right when it comes to seeing in theater, the theater experience not only made the animation spectacular, but just truly magical and immersive experience <3 And I am so sorry for doubting the new art style and animation before!:D

(There were so many beautiful scenes and musical numbers in this movie that it was hard for me just to pick one scene for all of you. Don’t worry, this is not a spoiler scene. Or at least, not according to Hasbro when they officially released this before the movie came out)
It’s the magic of 2D animation at its finest, despite being on a computer!:D (Haha lol I’m so tempted in just saying “It’s the magic of friendship!”)

(Even in the smallest of clips, this movie has animation just as smooth as Disney & Dreamworks animationXD :3!)
It’s the kind of animation that reminds me of the fun and fluid movement and expressiveness and color and heart and effort and overall classic feel that goes in Disney and Don Bluth and Dream Works films like the Prince of Egypt<3 And to me, I think (and I hope) will make this film stand out among the rest of the kids films popping out these days. Not that all of it is bad or anything, but most of them are computer animated. Yes, this one is too but not everyone knows that;) Haha lol I know I’m making this sound like a trick but think about it: Most of what people, critics, and parents associate bad kid films these days with not so appealing CGI/3D animation and what not. While this style on the other hoof is most pleasing and cute to the human eye on any initial response without question. How do I know this? While my family aren’t die-hard fans of the show and know nothing about it, they agreed that the movie looked cute and sweet and because of this, they wanted to see the film : ) But then again, my family members are open to and like cute and sweet and sincere things like myself. I have a feeling that if you’re an outsider to the show that is not open to cute and sweet and sincere things, like some of the official critics reviewing the movie so far but not all of them just some, then you are definitely not open to watching this film. In fact, even if you are that outsider in question forced to see this movie, and if you wouldn’t be open emotionally and mentally to this movie, then it will definitely tint your experience and opinion of this film. And that’s not a bad thing. If that’s not your thing, then it’s not your thing.

However, they would be missing out in having their minds blown because the animation isn’t all rainbows and sprinkles and pink power puffs. It actually has worlds and settings and backgrounds and characters that contrasts heavily with the colorful and pastel world of Equestria. Hmm, maybe the critics are too caught up in how bright it was in the beginning and/or how bright the colors are on the Mane Six themselves before giving the rest of the animation a chance? Are they just not animation buffs like me and the bronies or some people are? Are they just judging the movie based on its franchise and property before actually giving the actual movie a chance? I’m not quite sure. Anyway, despite some the new locations being so different from the world of Equestria, it still does have I do admit that these locations still has the soft edges and such of the ponies and locations of Equestria. Sooo, it’s not completely dark and edgy and out there compared to Equestria. I find this kinda surprisingly because in the art book for the movie, these locations and creatures use to have a slightly different look that speaks more of a Don Bluth style rather than MLP, which brings a nice edge in my opinion : ) I have a feeling that this had to be censored somehow by Hasbro or by somebody due to some fear of scaring the kiddies, even though I think it wouldn’t but that’s just me though. Then again, I had to grow up watching old school Disney and Don Bluth (and especially old school Don Bluth was sometimes the scariest thing you ever had to see
0-0) I have a feeling that if the movie stick to these original concept art pieces for these locations outside of Equestria, perhaps the critics would have a slightly different view on the world and the ponies of Equestria and the journey that they had to take ; ) Hmm, maybe if there’s a sequel, we can tackle some of the un-used art from the art book and give the movie and its story a slightly darker edge to it: )

But let me tell you this: This movie has the most dynamic and impressive camera work and movement and cinematography I’ve ever seen in an animated movie:D! I mean, they outdo Disney when it comes to this feature, oh my God!XD They are even out-doing the camera work in How to Train Your Dragon!:D True, it can never outdo the cinematography that went into Prince of Egypt, but just the fact that I can say that its on the list of movies with Prince of Egypt when it comes to spectacular cinematography deserves all the applause in my book <3 Guys, this is a movie based on a TV Show! A TV show! A cartoon TV show! They could have easily not tried in this department and just sticked to the nice new shading provided by Toon Boom and wow us with bright, rainbow colors; but no, instead they gave us movie quality thought and reflection into making the settings, background, lighting, shades/darkness, and characters pop and stand out as much as they possibly can<3

This animation shows effort and heart and time, and the fact that they doing such an amazing work under perhaps a budget probably smaller than a usual Disney or Dreamworks budget, dealing with a program that is new to them, deserves at least some good solid praise from critics who are fans and not fans of the show. I don’t know, maybe the critics, who aren’t fans of the show, didn’t do their research and just didn’t know all this, but still. It looks way better than most and all non-Disney/Dreamworks animation companies’ products and just the fact that MLP tried is so impressive and game changing and inspiring that critics should at least some points for that. Honestly, Disney and Dreamworks has some competition and they should know it. They need to step it up. This movie should start the new trend of having 2D looking movies again. This movie should convince Disney and Dreamworks to pursue 2D looking movies, especially Disney because well, they take great pride in their 2D animation origins and it is an art form they are clearly passionate about and want to return to someday. I will allow the critics to be critical of the movie’s story and its characters and songs, I will give them that, but to not acknowledge the heart that went into art like this is a crime itself. Keep in mind not all critics are doing this, there are actually some positive reviews that are giving MLP a chance even though they know it’s not their thing. Rotten Tomatoes may not be giving MLP a super high score on their meter, but the audience meter is high and in the end that’s what counts because it’s the audiences that fill the seats of the theaters. Not the critics. No offense critics hehe;)

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/my_little_pony_the_movie_2017/
It’s just bugging me that some of the reviews is just focusing just only on the negatives and not including the obvious pros and strengths of the movie. And one of them obviously in the list of pros is the animation! Huh, now that I think about it, this reminds me of my experience of watching that Hanazuki movie short before the MLP movie started (I’m not joking you guys, there is an actually animated short before this movieXD). And Silver Quill highlighted this experience nicely in his funny review of the movie: )

What’s Hanazuki you ask? Well…to tell you the truth, I have really no idea what it is eitherXD So, here’s the synopsis:
“The series is set in a fictional galaxy of moons that is beset by the "Big Bad", a black, inky cloud that drains the life and color of anything it touches. The moons are protected by the Moonflowers, plantlike children who use their emotional states to activate magical "treasures" that are supplied by an infantile being named Little Dreamer, which can then be planted to grow trees that ward off the Big Bad. The series opens with Hanazuki, a newly born Moonflower, arriving on a moon populated by numerous denizens, including colorful rabbit-like creatures called Hemka. Several episodes focus on Hanazuki and the Hemka's escapades as she learns about her responsibilities and emotions, ending with her growing a colored Treasure Tree that corresponds with her mood in that episode. As the series progresses, Hanazuki encounters other Moonflowers that have failed at saving their own moons and seek to learn from Hanazuki in order to properly harness their powers against the Big Bad.”

I remembered awhile back hearing about this show on Equestria Daily because Dave Polsky ( I think that’s how you spell his name), is one of the writers on this Youtube series (yeah, it’s a youtube series. Not really an actual show. At least I think so cause I never see it on TV with MLP or anything like that.). I remembered watching one episode, thought it looked cute and all that but never grabbed my attention or desire to keep watching it. I guess it was because I thought it would be funny and cute at the same time like MLP and because Dave P. is one of the writers and he’s one of MLP’s funniest writers. But it wasn’t as funny as I thought it was gonna be but that’s just me. But at first, when the title card for this short popped up on theater, I kinda let out a little groan and started dreading/preparing myself for the worst. Much like the critics or non-fans did before watching the MLP movie. BUT however, once I saw how nice and wonderful the animation and the colors and fluidity and shading was for this short and this world they created for these characters, I began to appreciate this short. I give them kudos for trying because it would have been easy to just stick with the flat animation they always do for their regular episode animations and go from there. But no, the people who made this short wanted to show how Hanazuki can be worthy of being a pre-show before the big movie. The voice acting and the characters weren’t too bad either. Nothing ground breaking or interesting about them, but they had some charm to them because they weren’t annoying, they had their own personalities and some form of relationships with one another. Though to be honest, the main girl in this short Hanazuki, really has to carry this short on her shoulders because she is the only character who talks and the audience can only understand her. So, she had to be charming and not annoying so that way, this short can be watchable. The voice acting for her was good and she was alright : ) I have a feeling this is what a lot of the critics and non-fans feel when watching these ponies we love and adore on screen, lol! HOWEVER, unlike the MLP movie, this short was five minutes or so long. Meaning I only had five minutes or so to get to know these characters and I have a feeling that I need a movie or so to really get to know and like these characters. In my opinion, I think critics and non-fans would like the characters of MLP given the movie length if they truly give these characters a chance at least because the movie gives them plenty of time to get to know them and their big main friendship. Anyway, this short did mesmerize me with its animation, the story was simple (like the MLP movie’s plot, but the MLP movie plot had a bit more meat to it in my opinion) but showed some of fun humor and cuteness of the characters, and I will admit that the ending of this short got actually a chuckle and giggle out of me and loved the fact that it made me laugh in the end : ) After the short though, I still don’t want to check out Hanazuki BUT: I can still see the heart and effort made by the team who made this short, I can still see the heart and effort put into the animation, I can still see how sincere and kinda charming the characters are, I can still see and acknowledge that this Hanazuki world is creative and lovely to look at and makes me curious about it ((hint hint critics, it wouldn’t hurt to acknowledge that MLP has a fun and interesting world to be curious about. It’s okay you guys, it wouldn’t hurt to acknowledge it;) But again, is this a whole non-fan thing as to the reason why they didn’t acknowledge the effort into the world building of the movie?) and I can still have fun with the story despite a predictable story because it still has some humor and a fun ending <3 Overall, I give this short 7 hearts out of 10 <3 Ha! Take that critics who gave the movie negative reviews without some consideration or thought for some of pros that the movie can offer to non-fans!:D Ha!

Speaking of story, kinda, smooth transition right you guys?!XD (Enough of me gushing over the animationXD!) Lol!

I will admit that the story is predictable and it has cliché troupes and elements, BUT what doesn’t make this bad in my eyes is how these elements are executed. It was executed through its sincerity, its heart, its effort, its wonderful characters, its humor, its music, and its animation. This is the same formula of predictable-ness that Disney uses pretty much for most of their movies, especially their older movies before and during the Disney Renaissance. Thus, the reason why the story and its execution gives me a very Disney vibe/Disney-esque tone and if it weren’t for the Hasbro/DHX/Lionsgate label, I would call this a Disney filmXD Lol! BUT YET SOMEHOW, NONE OF THE CRITICS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE DISNEY FORMULA WHEN DISNEY DOES IT, THEY CALL IT A CLASSICXD LOL!

But I will admit that, like in the experience in the Hanazuki world, if you don’t dig the characters and their world and humor and such, then it’s hard to enjoy the simple story presented. And I think the reason why the MLP team went for a simple story for the movie is because they wanted room to make the movie fun, and in their eyes, they felt that they could attract more fans to the franchise if they could show how fun MLP can be to adults and kids : ) And I think they kinda accomplished this, at least for the kids, not necessarily the adults. I mean I was in a theater with some kids when I was watching the movie, and except for the little baby crying just a bit but not too bad in the very beginning of the film, those kids were dead silent during the entire film. And those kids were super hyped and excited before and after the film, if I know how kids go, usually when they are quite like that it either means they’re well behaved OR they are completely mesmerized by a film OR both. I like to think both, they were actually sweet and cute kids: ) But my point is, if this movie is a hit with the kiddies, then I can have hope of this movie doing well and hoping getting us a sequel *crossing my hooves together*

But, like most critics and fans of the show pointed out, if the MLP movie showed how unpredictable MLP can be like we’ve seen in the past, then this movie would have done way better with non-fans and convert some bronies up in here; ) Oh well, at least we will have some converted bronies out of the kiddies;)

I will admit that there are parts of the story that did bug me but because of the character’s motivations and overall characterization of these characters we know, how much new information and characters that the writers had to balance, and the pacing/how fast this story went through these new delights that the audience was introduced to. (I will go more into this when I discuss the characters). I don’t know how the critics called this movie slow and boring because this movie was actually, not speedy or too fast, but it was fast in its pacing in order to keep the kiddies’ attention and the fact that the story had so much to go through that I felt bad for the story. The story really wanted to do so much but just didn’t have the time for: (There were creative ideas in this movie, but didn’t have the proper time to execute swiftly and properly. The same effort of creativity that, in my opinion, goes into Disney, Pixar, Don Bluth, and Dreamworks films (the good Dreamworks films that is) <3.

Some bronies and critics are pointing out that the story is not big enough and that it was just a long, extended, nicely animated episode from the series. I can see where that criticism comes, but I disagree. I feel like the story was big enough but just simply not executed properly because 1) we have a villain, aka the Storm King, that has conquered every land in this world that Equestria is residing in, 2) the villain that did this through force, lust of power, no magic, but a powerful army commanded by a powerful commander aka Tempest, and 3) because the villain has no magic and is from a land and species unknown to the girls, and his army and commander defeated the three other princesses, this requires the girls to journey outside of Equestria and seek outside help from a world that hurting under the Storm King’s rule and aren’t willing to help no matter what. Sounds like the perfect formula for MLP to tackle right? But the formula falls apart because of one element: the big main villain and source of the conflict for the story: The Storm King

It’s not essentially the Storm King himself as a bad character and villain, but rather in how they handled him. I can see what the writers were doing with the Storm King by not really showing him off until the end of the movie, and hint his power and presence through his “phone call” with Tempest and how he has completely taken over Klugetown, the pirates, and the Hippogriff kingdom. HOWEVER, it would have been more effective for him, and in fact for the introduction of our Mane Six and the new characters (with their unique and fascinating backstories if I might add), to have some sort of a prologue scene laying out this ominous new threat the Storm King, this world of Equestria and their heroes, how the Storm King effected all the new characters and their world, and so on and forth. Heck, as a good call back to the first episode of the series, we can have Celestia narrate it:D Wouldn’t that been just amazing you guys?! It can be animated in a simple story book style or stain glass style or just any simplistic design to signify to the audience that it’s a prologue : ) (This idea of having some kind of prologue didn’t originally come from me. It came from a review somewhere, but I can’t remember which review. So I apologize to whoever I stole this idea from.)

And then after that, we can have a kinda short but mysterious and dark and cool scene of the Storm King and Commander Tempest and the army getting the scepter through the Storm King’s funny yet forceful personality and presence:D (Fun fact: according to the art book, the scepter was originally some kind of root sprouting from the Tree of Harmony:D Oh my gosh that’s sooo cool!:D Also, apparently one of the original designs of the Storm King was a three eyed lighting wolf:D Cool! Along with some other different kinds of designs too, again cool!:D)

Storm King Concept Art
Storm King Concept Art
Storm King Concept Art
As clearly shown through here in the movie’s art book and the first issue of the prequel comic series, there was effort and thought put into the Storm King and he had the potential of being a terrifying but fun villain that could have really left his mark on the franchsie. Especially since he was so well acted by Liev S. Which is why I was so disappointed to see him “die” at the end of the film.

My first idea for a sequel would be to have a former loyal member of Storm King’s army journeying to Equestria to resemble the stone pieces of the Storm King and bring him back to life. This gives the Storm King time to re-build his position of power again, his army, and his rule and show the audience that he is no one to truly mess with >:D

My second idea for the sequel would be to have an old gen villain return: Catrina

Since we have a cat kingdom and a certain cat character in our mist;), I figured it would be fun and appropriate to revamp an old gen villain : ) And I have the most awesome idea in terms of how BD: Okay, so in this version of Catrina, she is actually the sister of the King of Capper’s kingdom. But, she’s the older sister and is expected to take the throne. But she doesn’t and gives it to her younger brother, the king from the comics. She has a regal, but yet laid back and lazy personality. Imagine Opal, except with more personality and more villainous intentions basicallyXD I actually imagine this Catrina to be all white actuallyXD Lol! Anyway, Catrina wants a bigger kingdom to rule but use the easy way to do it. She studies magic, especially Equestrian magic since out of all the lands out there, they have the power. She becomes a sorcess and finds an amulet that is powered by other creatures fear. Basically, she uses the amulet to turn the ponies, using their own fears against them, into lizard dragon like creatures. But everytime she does that, she slowly turns into one of these creatures too and she wants that to happen. She wants to become an all-powerful monster in order to rule the land. But Celestia and Luna and Cadence and Twilight or anypony else can’t turn these ponies back to normal by magic because whenever they do, it hurts the ponies that were turned into monsters. Basically, our heroes and our princesses are put into a position where it’s a hard to fight and win because they can’t use magic, and they are fighting their own people. Catrina would be using friendship and bonds and fear against our heroes and our princesses. So, they would essentially have to use friendship, patience, kindness and the value of using hope and love to conquer our own fears in order to turn these ponies back to normal. By the end of the movie, Catrina turns into the big bad monster she wants to be but then loses power once the Mane Six can turn all the ponies back to normal. She loses power and so on and so forth. I can imagine an adventure journey story where the Mane Six, and the new movie characters from this movie, chase Catrina across the lands before Catrina reaches Canterlot to conquer it. Heck, I even imagine Catrina even getting to Twilight and turning her into one of her monsters and then it would be up to the Mane Six to turn her back to normal. What do you guys think of my idea? : )

(This video was the inspiration behind my second idea for the MLP sequel)

The point is, it’s kinda of a good thing that the plot of this movie was so simple because if and when we have a sequel, the sequel can go into deeper and more complicated stories :3 Think of this movie has the public’s introduction/first taste of MLP, then the sequel can go nuts and do whatever they want now: )
BUT, I will admit that there were moments in the story that genuinely surprised and shocked me. Probably the biggest surprise and shock for me was the scene that everypony was talking about: Derpy’s sacrifice!:0 Oh my gosh, Derpy!:o She was the hero of the film!:0 Without her, Twilight and the Mane Six couldn’t go out to save Equestria (especially Twilight)!

I mean, the writers put her in a purple pointy party hat not just for pokes and giggles. It served an actual purpose! It gave Derpy the temporary disguise to fool Tempest into turning her into stone instead of Twilight!:0 All that time of Derpy following Twilight around and dressing like Twilight for Nightmare Night, it all comes together:0! It happened so fast that I didn’t know which pony got in the way of Tempest’s spell, but when the dusty mist cleared and showed our poor Derpy frozen in her stone state with her hat, I literally did this: “No…Derpy?:’ (“

Hashtag Derpy was the true hero of the film, the best background and just overall pony whoever lived <3 Derpy, you’re our precious angel and I was so happy that you were able to break that stone spell by the end of the movie :’ ) Derpy, we salute you :’ )

And then, there was that moment when Twilight was descending down from the sky after getting caught in that tornado with the Storm King. I thought, “Okay well, that’s it for the Storm King then.” But then to my surprise, he just suddenly came back!:D Lol, I’m laughing at myself cause I should have seen it coming but I didn’t like an idoitXD

Also, I was not expecting that the final battle to be based more on teamwork and friendship instead of friendship blasts, so good job to the writers for highlighting the importance of teamwork and friendship by having the final battle be based on the combined efforts of the Mane Six and their new friends : )

It’s interesting that I thought at first, based on listening the soundtrack of the movie with songs like “Rainbow” & “It’s Time to Be Awesome”, that the message and theme of the movie would be based on how friendship can be a light of hope of those who have lost hope to the cynical and harsh world. AND that friendship can help bring out the best part of ourselves or help discover who we are. And yeah, the movie does that but mainly the theme and message is also this: Trust and Mistrust (as pointed out by The Autistic Writer in his review of the movie)
The Autistic Writer Review
But I felt that the story suffered when it came to portraying its theme and messages. I felt like there was a mixture of themes like the ones I stated above along with the overall message of Friendship is Magic, as well as, forgiveness is magic. Because the story couldn’t pick one message and theme to stick with, the story didn’t have a good focus and it’s theme/message couldn’t hit home emotionally with me or the audience (both bronies and non-bronies) as much as the movie wants you to do. Don’t get me wrong, there were some emotional parts of the film, but in my opinion, it needed a strong and singular theme and message to narrow in the focus and scope of the movie’s story
Now, let’s about what deeply affected the story itself: The Characters.

Twilight: She might be the character that I have a problem with is because, as Tricky Fox pointed out in his review of the movie, Twilight acts more like her Season 4 self and it’s very distracting to me when contrasting this Season 4 Twilight with the current Season 7 Twilight. (The scene with Twilight stealing the hippogriffs pearl REALLY reminded me of what Season 4 Twilight would have done) And to me, Twilight has grown so much since then.

Although, one MLP movie review by EquesTron pointed out in his review, some of Twilight’s strange behavior can be the writer’s way of saying that Twilight is at a point in her journey where she might be becoming more mature than her friends, but not realizing that her friends are maturing with her.

And I can why the reviewer made this point and it’s a good point : ) And it does make sense for both the context of the movie and show : ) However, it was that one line by Twilight during her fight with Pinkie that really hurts this point though: Twilight basically yells out how she shouldn’t have made friends or have friends like Pinkie and the rest of the gang. Ouch! Twilight, seriously girl, ouch!:0 I know that Twilight was under some major stress for the story, she felt like saving the day was solely on her shoulders, but I feel like no matter how much stress Twilight would be in for any situation, Twilight would never say that to her friends:0! I mean, I can see her letting the stress to her in Season 4, but not at this point in Season 7. Plus, we’ve seen and even Twilight has seen how mature her friends can be and how they have stepped up when Twilight needed to have a foundation/rock during her stressful times. So, it is hard to believe that Twilight would doubt her friends’ maturity, especially at this point in Season 7. Maybe in Season 4, but even with that, that’s stretching it a little. Now, don’t get me wrong, I really did like that fight scene between Pinkie Pie and Twilight because 1) both Pinkie and the rest of the girls rightfully called Twilight out on what she did wrong, 2) Pinkie makes a good point about how she and the girls made friends with characters like Capper, Captain Celeano, and Princess Skystar is because they need help in defeating the Storm King and in order to prove that they are ponies worthy of saving, they have to be ponies that creatures can be friends with (and that is such a good point by the way:D! Great job Pinkie Pie!:D), and 3) even after Twilight uttered that horrible statement about their friendship to Pinkie Pie and the Mane Six, instead of getting mad, Pinkie and the others were just hurt and sad by Twilight’s statement and Pinkie says “I just need some time alone Twilight.” That statement by Pinkie Pie rings true later by, after Twilight gets kidnapped by Tempest, on the beach, Applejack says to the sad Mane Six “Do you think we should check on Twilight?” They acknowledged that Twilight was under some major stress and that she needed some space before they could make up as friends and move forth with their journey. That right there shows some major maturity by the Mane Six:D!

I think the season why Twilight in this movie acted more like her Season 4 self is because Megan McCarthy mainly wrote this movie and she hasn’t really been with the tv show since the end of the Season 4. That’s okay Megan, we still love you^^! You still wrote an awesome movie!^^

Pinkie Pie: Speaking of the pink pony, she was fantastic in this movie!:D

Oh my Celestia, this has to be the funniest she has ever been!XD Not only was she part of the emotional core and maturity of this movie, but she was the freakin humor of this movie too!:D Haha lol! Although, the only down side to this was that she did take away some of the spotlight that was need for the other Mane Six to shine. I’ll explain later with the other characters.
On a sidenote: There was Cheespie shipping in this movie!:D True it was subtle and only for a moment during the “We’ve Got This Together” musical number, but still!:D They could have put Cheese Sandwich’s cameo anywhere else, but instead they put him right there with Pinkie during her solo in the song and helped her with the cake and that!:D Cheesepie lives!:D

I have a feeling Cheese Sandwich helped her create that big canon she used for the movie, just sayin;) A note on this sidenote, lol, I also heard that:
SPOILER ALERT: Cheese Sandwich is going to make a cameo in Season 8!:D I don’t know if it’s a speaking cameo or not, but crossing my hooves for a speaking cameo :3 SPOILER ALERT
SIDE SIDE NOTE: Cheese Sandwich isn’t the only one who made an interesting cameo in this movie. Discord, while not getting a speaking role like John De Lancie and all of us had hope, but he did manage to make two fun cameos in the form of a balloon animal made by Pinkie Pie and at the end during the beginning of the credits:

The only problem with Discord’s inclusion in this movie is that, as much as I hate to say this, the movie should have shown Tempest turning Discord into stone so that way people won’t complaint that Discord could just solve everything in three seconds; AND that Discord should be next to or just dance with Fluttershy during the credits scene instead of being next to Celestia. Just sayin ; )
Also, total miss opportunity for the movie to not have an after credits scene with Discord all Genie-style or at least have some kind of after credits scene overall after the movie. I guess not enough in the budget for something like that?

Spike: Just like in Equestria Girls, Spike is shining as Twilight’s one number assistant and overall as best dragon <3

He had just that right balance of emotional and funny moments to show off his well-balanced personality and character to make his presence in the movie pop : ) True, he didn’t have as many as Pinkie or Twilight or the rest of the girls, but because of the subtle tone that went into his moments, it made them really effective. In other words, the writers pulled out the qualities that make Spike shine at his best with some fun stuff thrown in like, for example, actually using his fire breathing for combat!:D Seriously, I need this in the show now!:D It’s awesome!:D

Rarity: Lol oh my gosh, Rarity was the second funniest character in this movie!XD My favorite part/line from her was when they were falling and Rarity just screams out “Oh for Celestia’s Sake!” XD

True, the full capacity of her witty nature is not quite used all the way in this film but Rarity was true to form in her personality, humor, and more. She may not had as much time to shine as Pinkie and Twilight did, but she did make her moments count and that’s what counts in my opinion : ) My favorite Rarity of course came from when she was interacting with our main boi Capper:3 That’s right folks, I still ship these two!:D So be expecting some fanfic about these two from me in the future!:D (Psst! It's out now!;))
Capperity
Capperity
While there weren’t as many Capperity moments as I would have wanted, but it was enough to have this little shipper in the audience begging for more:3 Oh my gosh my favorite Capperity moment has to be when Tempest has captured Capper after the Mane Six escaped Klugetown, Capper was going to tell her where they went off to, but then he saw the new gold buttons that Rarity had put on for him on jacket…seeing how they shined…he immediately had a such a sad and guilty look on his face, but then quickly but smoothly lied (in order to save Rarity of course:3) Awww! I literally said “aww!” out loud in the theater and has to be one of the more emotional moments for me in the movie:3 XD

Though I seriously wished badly that the one scene with Rarity and Capper back at Capper’s place where Rarity was fixing up Capper’s jacket (cute scene by the way) was longer, but I know that the movie had a lot to cover and so little time to do it, but still…if this scene was extended, not only would there be more Capperity, but it could have given more character and backstory to Capper. But I’ll discuss more of that dashing fellow a little later; )
What I really like about their relationship is first of all, 1) by having Rarity finding Capper attractive, that means Rarity can find any species (not just the pony species) attractive if they have the right personality and charm like Capper does, which is the main reason why Rarity finds Capper attractive and not just his good looks, which shows that Rarity is not shallow and she learned her lesson from the Season 1 Gala finale after her encounter with Prince Blueblood on how ponies who are attractive aren’t always the most charming ponies ;) In other words, in the words of Silver Quill, subtle continuity!

2) both sides are flirtatious with each other and feed on each other’s flirtations, at least in my opinion;) The best way that I can describe this is that…remember when Capper was first introducing himself to the group, and how Rarity called him quite charming, well Capper said right after that “Capper’s the name. And…charming’s my game.”

I know he probably did this part of his ego and convince the ponies to be on his side for the scheme, but the way he emphasized it made me think he liked flirting with Rarity;) It’s funny, they heavily remind me of Duchess and Thomas O’Malley from Disney’s Aristocrats <3

(A very underrated Disney couple in my opinion)
Think about it: a refined sophiscated lady type character with a streetsmart sly man character in a relationship but free from the typical love hate relationship but instantly flirtatious and romantic at the start? I don’t about you, but there’s a lot of similarities going on here;) However, there are some major differences of course. Rarity has a drama queen side to her refined lady side, and Capper has more of a chip on his shoulder and he has to work against Rarity before working for her side. Oh man, I would love to see Capper sing this song to Rarity <3

Either that or just have a plain Capperity duet to this song:

Don’t worry, I’ll talk more about Capper later;)
Rainbow Dash: Just like Rarity, while she didn’t have as much time as Pinkie Pie or Twilight to shine in the movie, but like Rarity, when she had her moments, she made them count. Rainbow Dash style!:D But these moments were in the light of making other characters shine, and I think that’s always cool side to see from Rainbow Dash : ) Out of all the Mane Six interactions with the new movie characters, Rainbow’s new friendship with some of the new characters was one of the stronger stories (with Pinkie’s friendship with Princess Skystar being the strongest story out of the movie, but I’ll get to that later).

I think the reason why Rainbow’s contribution to the film felt strong and showed Rainbow at her best was because of how well they characterized and introduced, the most part, Captain Celeano and her sky pirate crew. Their introduction had nothing humor and emotional weight and atmosphere to them to make their personalities and presence stand out. These pirates didn’t have too complicated of a backstory, which gave the movie more time to focus on the emotional part of their story in order to present in opportunity for Rainbow to help and be a friend : ) And this is supported by a strong musical number, strong animation for that musical number, and the aftermath of this newly blossomed friendship : )
Don’t worry you guys, I’ll get to the music later; )
Dang it, why do I have this strange urge to ship these two together? 0-0 Guys, it’s official…I have a problem 0-0

Fluttershy and Applejack:
Oh boy, let’s start with Fluttershy: much like the problem with Twilight in this film, Fluttershy is written not like her current season 7 but rather her pre-before meeting Discord self. Because of this, Fluttershy seems to be afraid of everything. Even of animals!:o You heard right, animals:0! Well, not her animals obviously, but the strange animals, birds, and bats trapped in cages at Klugetown. Instead of feeling sorry for them and trying to free them or comfort them, this Fluttershy cowers away from them. What? C’mon, I’ve seen Fluttershy comfort a Manticore and would probably find any creature from Discord’s dimension cute, but somehow these animals are scary to her?! This contrasts heavily with my favorite scene of Fluttershy from the movie (the part of the movie where she really was truly herself in my opinion) where she comforts one of the Storm King’s soldiers <3 In the same manner Dr.Wolf would in his videosXD No surprise that Dr.Wolf loved this moment tooXD

One of the great ideas I came across that was brought up in the Lost and Magpie review of the movie was to have, instead of Pinkie making a ruckus in Klugetown scene, have a scene where Fluttershy is trying to free the animals and all that <3

Before this movie premiered, I thought that: much like how Twilight was going to become Tempest’s friend, Rainbow would become the pirates’ friend, and Rarity would become Capper’s wifey I mean friend;), Fluttershy & Applejack would become friends with Grubber and the soldiers of the Storm King. I can see Fluttershy on one hoof helping the soldiers get in touch with their feelings much like in that scene I mentioned before with Fluttershy being a therapist, while Applejack helping Grubber to be honest with himself about his faults and insecurities but to be happy with those faults and insecurities and just overall love who he is because I thought I read somewhere on the Hasbro site that Grubber and the soldiers are the same species and Grubber is the runt of the group basically. I get why the movie didn’t do this because they didn’t have time, but still, Fluttershy and Applejack didn’t have anything to do. Well, at least Applejack had her moments and was funny and in character.

As for our New Characters:
Capper: Winner of my favorite new character of the movie award!:D I know Tempest is everyone’s favorite edge lord/character of the movie, but I’m being an edge lord by loving the one that is everyone’s second favorite or soXD

(Daww look at this cute wittle kitty:3)
This character had the funniest lines and parts out of all of the new movie characters XD My favorite Capper part had to be when he used Spike as a freakin flamethrower and he just laughed evilly as he sent these death flames towards the Storm King’s armyXD

(Whoever thought up this scene was brilliant!XD)
He also had the most screentime along with Tempest, Grubber, and Princess Skystar: ) The only problem I had with him was that he didn’t have enough time to be properly reformed by Rarity to be a reformed new ally for the Mane Six, AND we even truly got to know his backstory like the rest of the new characters. We got to clearly see each of the new characters’ backstories nicely and properly, but for some reason Capper, they just skip over completely:0! This is an issue because not only am I a Capper fan girl, (yes feel free to mock me all you want on this new revelation; )), but also because there is a controversy over what his true backstory is. According to the Hasbro website, “Capper, a smooth-talking (and singing) con-artist, was once a swanky aristocrat living the high-life with pride and dignity. After a deal gone wrong with the Storm King left Capper penniless and in a lifelong debt, he now relies on his wit and charm to make ends meet. Though he may seem cunning, Capper's crimes aren't driven by malice.” While the comic origins on the other hand, has Capper being raised on the streets with supposedly no parents or family to call his own, and so he bounded with another male street cat named Chummer. Once they got to Klugetown, due to the Storm King invasion and having the sky pirates helping them out essentially, they went back to what they normally do which was live on their wits and steal what they can to survive. That is, until they steal from the wrong guy in town AKA Verko, the naked mole man we saw briefly in the movie. Capper and Chummer tell Verko they can settle this debt that they owe Verko by giving them that Misfortune causing gem they recently found in their possession if they can buy an airship off him. Verko agrees and gives them a word of advice before they go: in the harsh realities of life, it’s better to be on your own and survive on your own. Friends only become a weakness and they could betray you. Chummer worries about this while Capper gives Chummer hope. They both discuss what they want for the future and they both have very different plans: Capper wants a good honest life after this while Chummer wants to continue being a thief. The next day, Chummer takes the airship without Capper, Capper gets on and Chummer tells him the truth about why he took the airship without him because he was worried that their different plans will get in the way of their friendship and lead to an eventual betrayal. The airship somehow gets on fire, Capper tries to save Chummer but Chummer says no, and the comic heavily, heavily and darkly implied that Chummer died while going down on the ship and Capper gets off and survives 0-0

(Time to put on...the jacket!)
As much as comic did handle the typical street rat Aladdin type of backstory fairly well, especially with that dark ending (Holy Celestia that was dark!0-0), I wasn’t the big fan of that comic as I hoped because 1) the backstory provided by the Hasbro sounds a lot more interesting and it’s less cliché and had more potential to make the movie more interesting for its plot and for Capper and for the Storm King and for the Mane Six I think; and 2) the comic didn’t properly show what Capper’s personality is really all about and that’s not the comic fault. Mainly, Capper’s character is truly defined by his voice actor Taye Diggs

I believe this is Taye Diggs’s first voice acting gig based on his interview for this movie and according to that same interview, he had to work hard for this role and it clearly showed <3 Not only did he give it his all for this role, like all the celebrity voice actors, but I think he had to work extremely hard because he was outside to what he was use to and he really put a lot of who he was into his character, thus really making his character his own. Thus, making hard for me to have his character played by anyone else: ) Good job Taye Diggs for really making Capper come to life for this movie!: )
Fun fact: According to the movie’s art book, Capper was a multiple of animals before he was decided to be a cat. He was a honey badger, a Siberian Husky, and even a ferret. But my favorite had to be a humanoid fox with a scorpan’s tail with two pairs of eyes, one pair of eyes he would keep close in order to deceive the ponies of his true devious nature, and his name was going to be Mendax (the Latin word for "liar"). As much as I love our kitty cat boy, BUT, the sheer creativity going into the fox design is incredible and would just love to see that animated in the beautiful animation of this movie <3 I just love the shipping imagery of Rarity being paired with a foxXD Curse my weakness for cute pony wifeys with their koocky looking husbandosXD

Haha lol, anyway, I have a good idea on how to fix Capper’s backstory problem and it just might happen. Just might. Emphasis on might. This is not guaranteed. WARNING SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR SEASON 8 AHEAD!
SPOILER: So apparently, according to the last Hascon convention, we’re going to get a new character for Season 8 by the name of Silver Stream and she’s a seapony: ) That’s right folks, elements of the movie are coming into Season 8. SPOILER
Spoiler Picture
So, there might be a good fighting chance that characters from the movie like Capper, Captain Celeano, Princess Skystar, Tempest, Grubber, and Queen Novo could make a guest appearance in SPOILER Season 8 too:3 SPOILER But the question is, will their original voice actors come back? I feel like this is possibility because, not did the spoiler suggest that Season 8 will explore SPOILER elements from the movie SPOILER, but if Steven Universe can afford celebrity guest stars like Uzo Aduba to play Bismuth and other characters for their show then why can’t MLP? Especially if MLP just needs these celebrity voice actors for one episode:

However, the difference between Steven Universe and MLP in this case is that well, MLP has a celebrity voice actor that comes, not only for every season, but for at least two episodes each season. That’s right I’m talking about John De Lancie as Discord. So, MLP has to pay for John De Lancie. Now, getting to pay for at least six voice actors has got to be A LOT on the MLP budget. Especially for one season. Steven Universe usually spaces out when they can have celebrity voice actors on their show, like most shows do. SO, with that in mind, most likely (but who knows, maybe MLP will surprise us in this and actually have the celebrities reprise their roles for the show), the show will get some veteran voice actors to take the celebrities place when reprising these movie character roles. I’m kinda okay with this for the most part. The only part that I’m not really okay with a new voice actor scenario is mainly for the sake of Capper, because again, Capper’s character is mainly defined by Taye Diggs’ personality and Taye Diggs’ overall work into putting a lot of himself into this character. So, keep in mind, I will be salty in this area; )
My one and only request in this area is to have Princess Skystar, if Kristin Chenwoth can’t reprise her role in the series, please for the love of both Celestia and Luna, please please have Megan Hilty play Princess Skystar <3! She is the only one out there that can play Kristin Chenwoth when Kristin Chenwoth can’t be there! For Pete’s Sake, she played Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked Tour! (Look her up, she’s amazing <3)!

Anyway, thanks to lovemyself666 on Youtube, one of my ideas for Season 8 (trust me I will put this on my wishlist for Season 8), is to have an episode about Rarity opening a Caraousel Boutique in the Cat Kingdom where Capper is from and Capper is in charge of that boutique!:D Brilliant! I found a way for the ship to continue for seasons to come!:D

Anyway, lol, onto the other charactersXD
Princess Skystar: AKA my second favorite new character of the movie, no surprise there folks!;)

As predicted, this character is adorable and awesome and Kristin delivers <3 I just realized after watching this movie that Kristin is officially the new Tim Curry. Whether she’s in a live actor property or animated property, whether the tv show or movie is bad or good, both Kristin and Tim always make that tv show or movie better just simply by their amazing performance/presence. *bowing before them, chanting* I am not worthy, I am not worthy!

I think the reason why they are sooo good no matter what is because they always give it their all, even for the smallest of roles, and they always love and put a piece of themselves in these roles. True, you always recognize their voices no matter what, but you don’t care, cause they truly become the characters they play and they make the audience have fun with the characters they play: ) I mean, just watch this interview by Kristin on the topic of Princess Skystar, she loves just Princess Skystar^^

I like how the movie and Daniel Ingram allow Kristin sing in her more natural voice versus just having her to rely on her operatic voice. Not that I don’t like her operatic voice, on the contrary, I absolutely adore it<3 But usually whenever movies or shows need Kristin to sing, they usually just need her to sing operatically and that’s it. I mean, she did a little at the beginning of her introduction (which was beautiful by the way), but then during “One Small Thing”, Kristen/Princess Skystar got to sing beautifully without having to resorting to her operatic voice and focus more on the specifics of the character’s voice:

(My only complaint about this song is that Queen Novo/Uzo Abuda didn’t get to sing and by God she has such a great voice too)

Speaking Queen Novo, oh man I just loved how sassy she was!:D #theperfectsassyqueen! She’s the kind of queen that Celestia needs to be I swear. She’s sassy, she stands strong in what she believes in, she listens to others, she gives them a chance, she strikes back when you cross her the wrong way, she always thinks the best for her daughter and her people, yet she is flawed and has a bit of a chip on her shoulder. I just wished she had more screen time.

I just love the relationship between Princess Skystar and Queen Novo. They have a fairly realistic yet fun and dynamic mother and daughter relationship <3 Princess Skystar is the innocent, naïve, yet slightly rebellious teenager and Queen Novo is the sassy mama that says no when she says no <3 XD They are the more realistic and ideal version that Ariel and Triton should be in the Little Mermaid

As usual, MLP succeeds in the theme of delivering polar opposites working together in harmony by having the Hippogriffs, creatures who once lived in the sky, now transform and live in the water as sea ponies <3 By far one of my favorite lore parts of the movie <3 Gee, I wonder why? ;) Haha lol that’s why I called them cousins by heart but not by blood cause well they’re not technically sea ponies sea ponies if you catch my drift. But this leads into my series of questions for this portion of the movie:
1) Are there still actual sea ponies out there (you know, the ones who didn’t have to turn into sea ponies to become sea ponies?)
2) How did the Hippogriffs get their claws on that transforming pearl? It seems like that pearl can only survive underwater in that clam/jellyfish thing they had in the movie, so how did the Hippogriffs did that thing?
3) Are they going to be Hippogriffs all the time now? Or will they visit the water sometime and do the how air/water existence now? Based on the SPOILER Season 8 spoiler I mentioned, it might be both now? SPOILER
4) Does Princess Skystar have a dad? Did he pass away a long time ago?
5) How does Celestia and Luna know the Hippogriffs? I mean how did they even meet?
6) How did Celestia and Luna did not know that the Hippogriffs were in danger because of the Storm King? Did communciations just cut off once the Hippogriff went underwater?
7) Did the Hippogriffs make that underwater kingdom once they became sea ponies or was that there before? If it was there before, was there a sea pony kingdom long ago but they went extinct or just move away?
Gah! So many questions!

Tempest: Just like everyone in the fandom, I too like Miss Tempest Shadow: ) Or should I say Miss Fizzlepop Berry Twist?;)

Oh man, that joke was just too great!XD What a way to bring back an old G1 characterXD!
Anyway, I think the fandom would disagree with me by saying that they love Tempest/Fizzlepop, but I digressXD I don’t why everyone is so surprised by Emily Blunt’s strong singing voice, I knew she did once she sang during Disney’s “ Into the Woods”.

#aheadofeveryonelse;)
Anyway, the reason why I don’t completely absolutely love Tempest/Fizzlepop like everypony else is because of the way they handled her backstory. Don’t get me wrong, I love “Open Up Your Eyes”, while “This Day Aria” is still my favorite MLP villain song, “Open Up Your Eyes” has the most beautiful villain instrumental in the entire show, the song kinda-ish rushed Tempest’s backstory and skipped over/or didn’t go over Tempest’s story like they did in the book “Stormy Road to Canterlot”:

The book gave more detail to her motivations in life, how her friends treated her before, during, and after the accident, what Tempest did after the accident and so forth. Heck the prequel comic gave us a good story on how her and the Storm King meet and interacted during their first meeting and why Tempest gave herself a new name.

But heck, the “Stormy Road to Canterlot” gave more important detail to Tempest’s and Grubber’s relationship, and good characterization to Grubber overall. Speaking of Grubber…
Grubber: Unlike most people, I like Grubber: ) He managed in a couple of funny lines, and thus getting a chuckle out of me: ) And I think the reason why is because Micheal Pena really gave it his all for that role. Not only did he make sure to not sound like himself by giving Grubber that lisp, but also doing a lot of improve during the record session: ) Big thanks to the MLP staff for allowing Micheal Pena to improv for the role and actually using some of that improve for the movie:D The problem is, Micheal Pena was not given a character or a script to help him give some good improve. Unlike with Robin Williams and his Genie role, the Genie was a very well thought out character with a heartfelt core to him. Unlike in the “Stormy Road to Canterlot” book where they gave Grubber a sense of a heart and core to his character to accompany his humor by making him the Spike/little brother to Tempest’s older sister/Twilight persona, the movie tried to do that a little but not enough to give the audience a sense of a core to Grubber’s character. And that’s disappointing because Grubber had a lot of potential to be a remember able character.

Songbird Serenade: Her character is very interesting in this movie. There was one part where I didn’t like her as much, but then in other part, I liked her. Where I didn’t like her was in her introduction where she was posing around for the cameras. If Songbird Serenade to portray the real Sia, then that scene to me doesn’t seem to portray the real Sia. The real Sia is a big star and has an eccentric appearance, but this appearance is for artistic purposes and Sia has admitted to having stage fright before going on stage for her performances. Every time. Sia is a star because she doesn’t seek the limelight or show off but instead shows her strengths and vulnerabilities side by side. Which is why I like the scene of her when the Storm King takes over Canterlot, and she’s in the cage singing part of her Rainbow song all beautifully in acapella. That’s it! Right there! That to me is Sia. Strong yet vulnerable yet relatable yet artistic and beautiful. Her voice without music is unique and breath taking. No showing off, just Sia being herself and that’s why her music stays with people and with me personally. Now, if they wanted Sia to play a pop star character who shows off, I wouldn’t have mind it. But because its Sia playing Sia, having Songbird Serenade showing off at the beginning was off to me. Though I did like those two bodyguards, they were great: )

But anyway, I deeply appreciate how Sia gave us a pop song for the movie that didn't sound like the usual dancey dance upbeat pop songs like most pop artists would do for animated movies, but rather a song that reflects one of the messages of the movie: ) Fun fact: Sia wrote the "Try Everything" song for Shakira for the "Zootopia" movie^^!

Music: Just the animation of this movie, the music and score that Daneil Ingram really outdone himself and made songs and background OST that are on levels of Disney, old school 2D Dreamworks films, and Don Bluths. In fact, I love every song in this movie <3! No joke you guys! There isn’t one song in this film that I don’t like in the slightest<3! Even in my favorite musicals like Phantom of the Opera, Beauty & the Beast, Wicked, and Lion King, there are a couple of songs that I skip over. Not in this movie!:D Every song is singable and non-skippable for me!:D Even when watching these musical numbers on screen, there isn’t one musical scene that I wouldn’t skip once I get this movie on DVD:D Any musical that can accomplish this in my book is worthy of praise, and again, makes me ask the question: “How can the critics not see the effort put into this movie?!”

If I had to pick my favorite song in this movie, it has to be “It’s time to be Awesome”

But visually, my favorite musical number in the movie has to be “I’m the Friend that You Need”

My favorite pop songs on the soundtrack has to be “Off to see the world” and “Rainbow”
Humor: While I did like the humor in this movie, and it was pretty good considering the time was given for the story, and there were moments that made me cracked up out loud, keep in mind that there were two quick surprisingly “blink and you’ll miss it” adult jokes:D It almost made me do a double take and ask “Did they…did they really just do that?!”:D Oh my gosh, MLP Movie way to go!:D But other than that, I don’t think this movie is the funniest that this show has ever been, but still funny and enjoyable nonetheless.
Conclusion: In conclusion, watch this movie! Support this movie! Buy the DVD and soundtrack! I bought the soundtrack and will most definitely buy it on DVD: ) If you can, buy merchandise and just anything to show Hasbro and others that this movie deserves support <3 I give it nine hearts out of 10 <3
Fun fact: I showed off my brony spirit for my movie outing by wearing, what I like to call, my "Fluffle Puff sweater"; )
