"Hey, where are we? What's going on!?" Coco Pommel asked, looking around at the four new ponies. "Thunderlane, who are these ponies?"
"Blimey, there are a bunch of other ponies here!" Puzzlemint exclaimed. "Maybe they were the ones making all the scary sounds!"
"Wind Whistler, look!" Shady cried out. "It's two Equestrian Ponies, and two Ponyville ponies!"
"Hey, those two ponies are talking funny!" Thunderlane exclaimed. "I can understand the two with the funny accents, but the other two sound like they're talking monkey language!"
"But where did you all come from?!" Shenanigans asked in confusion. "And how did we all get here?"
"FOOLISH PONIES!" A loud voice declared, as the whole house around them melted into a giant shadow. "You have all been taken from your own times, to be food for my OWN HUNGER!"
The shadow coalesced, becoming the towering form of a pony made entirely out of shadow. With a monstrous laugh, the giant beast trapped them all in bubbles of dark energy.
"It's the pony of shadows, the ancient demon from alicornist mythology, who was defeated by the pillars of Old Equestria!" Wind Whistler cried out, realizing what was going on. "He's going to devour our essences, and use that power to return to the real world!"
"Exactly!" The pony of Shadows laughed. "The fear you foolish ponies feel, created a crack between the physical world and Limbo. I merely reached through with a small portion of my power, and created this haunted house to lure you all into my trap! Now, I shall drain your spirits away, leaving you depressed, drained husked who will despair for the rest of your lives!"
"No, you shall not!" An orange unicorn declared, stepping into the open grove the now-vanished haunted house had stood in. "Put those ponies down, Stygian! You're days of tormenting ponies are over!"
The new unicorn blasted the pony of shadows with her magic, driving the monster back, and causing him to drop the six ponies he had captured.
"Gypsy, you saved us!" Shady called out gratefully. "That ghostly pony was gonna devour us, and use our pony magic to get free!"
"Not if you don't let him! Listen everybody, he's drawing power from your fear!" Gypsy called out, using her magic to translate her words into old Equestria, as well as the modern tongue. "We don't need to fight him, we just need to not be afraid of him! Cut him off from the power he used to trap all of you, and he'll fade back into limbo , forever!"
"Stupid ponies, you cannot get rid of me so easily!" The pony of shadows roared. "I have been sealed away twice before, you stupid Roma pony, I shall not be sealed away again!"
But even as the pony of Shadows threatened them, the six ponies he had captured were already turning their backs on him, and walking away. The giant shadowy monster then began to slowly fade away, as the sun began to come up over the nearby treeline.
"No, it cannot end this way!" The pony of Shadows roared. "I must have revenge, I must bring darkness!"
"You are nothing but a bundle of leftover rage and energy, left behind by a pony who left the darkness long ago!" Gypsy declared, as the last traces of the pony of Shadows vanished into nothingness. "Disappear into nonexistence, and never bother anybody- or anypony- ever again!"
An as the morning broke, the six ponies who had been freed stood there, staring at the sunrise, free from the terror that had engulfed them all only a short time ago.
"Hey, wait a bloomin' second!" Puzzlemint called out, as she looked at Shenanigans, Thunderlane, and Coco Pommel. "Just where the heck are we, and how are we supposed to get back home!?"
