Warning about Next Chapter for Princess Rainbow Dash

Hello, everyone.

The next chapter for Princess Rainbow Dash will be up soon...when exactly? I don't know. See:

Something REALLY stupid happened in my life today involving a racist, bigoted classmate and the topic of Bronies. I wrote the next chapter of Princess Rainbow Dash to serve as a rant about what happened and how I feel about the comments made. The chapter is not canon to the rest of the story. It is related to something that happened in my personal life. There will be no other chapters like it in the story. That being said, I wanted to ask you guys first to see if I should go ahead and upload the rant response chapter (in which Rainbow Dash actually responds to the idiotic comments made by my classmate), or if I should delete it and move on. If you guys think that the rant chapter shouldn't be a part of the story, that's cool, but I probably will post a blog describing what happened, because the comments made in class today were so idiotic and shallow that I can't ignore them.

I would say, "If you decide to post it, post it as a side story." Two trains of thought:

1) This is a reaction to an asshole, and not, strictly speaking, a part of what you have planned for PRD. It never works out well when you set aside the story to climb up onto a soapbox. It would be a distractor from what you originally intended to say.

B) In view of that, why let the ignorant SOB live rent-free in your head? Why let him into your mindscape to potentially ruin your Art? (Capitalization deliberate...) Dedicate a side story to tell the asshat where to head in, and, at most, borrow a page from Dave Drake, and assign him as a minor villain in the main story arc who is both an incompetent ineffectual in trying to thwart RD's objectives, and a disgusting example of a human/equine being? (go to Drake's website and look for references to a self-styled literary critic named Platt... )

I say go ahead with the side chapter, heck go and call it an Omake Chapter just for the buck of it.

If it's something you want to do, I'd recommend making it a one-shot, with or without it being tied to this story, if it doesn't do enough to fit with the overall plot and/or tone of your story. Otherwise, considering what's fueling its creation, I'd suggest making it a side story at the very least.

And if you're really unsure, have a couple people look at it before publishing it so they have a better idea of what exactly you've written, thus allowing them to offer better advice.
