It's been awhile since I wrote a blog post, so I'll keep this brief.
My story is progressing slowly as I believe that I have found a way to balance work with it and my other hobbies. I work as a maintenance tech at Franz Bakery, where I perform preventative maintenance and answer calls to help repair machines. It's what I went to college for. Lately I have been working from eleven to seven with Wednesday's and Thursday's as my day's off, weird I know but that's how it is.
My real goal however, is to start up my own YouTube channel and try to make that my livelihood, or at least be able to balance that with a part time job. The channel itself will be something of a lets play gamming channel, but with my own spin on it. I'm actually going to try and draw inspiration from Tears of Grace, who if you haven't heard of you should really check him out, but with a more serious go through the game and story narrative. My main focus would be RPG's but I would also do other genres like shooters. Basically, it would be my journey through the game. I'd play it by ear to see what works and what doesn't and try to communicate with the viewers to see what works and what doesn't. To that end, I am going to try and practice on this site until I am ready. As for when I will actually start the channel, I plan on recording some footage around November and December, as I plan on ordering a new Alienware 51 computer on Cyber Monday, so as to guarantee the best quality of game recording and gameplay. Also if anyone knows of any artists who could make custom YouTube cover and profile art for the channel, that would be great.
I'll finish this post with an update on my story. It is progressing little by little. I find that it is best to come back and do small writing sessions on the chapters. So don't worry, the story is not dead, even if the group has lost some steam. I would also like to thank those of you that stuck around as long as you did. It really surprises me that even while I was on hiatus, my story was still being added to favorites from new readers. I didn't even think that my story would be good at all, I just wrote what I felt like writing. Guess you really shouldn't underestimate yourself.
So thank you for being part of the journey, and I hope it continues to be an awesome ride.
Now i have to wait for a chapter and a new channel to subscribe too, SWEET!
