I had a question on my deivantart, about what I plan on doing when I finally retire from fanfic writing.
Well the answer might surprise you...
If you look at my old stuff, from fanfiction.net You'll note two things, one is that my old writing matches a certain author to a T back when I was 13 and that I seemed to stop when I hit 2004. Yeah, when I hit 17 or 18, I just stopped reading and writing fanfics. Oh sure, I told my brother stories, and I read enough badfics that I began to think that there was no such thing as good fanfics, but I never touched a keyboard again. Not until I began to watch pony and read fimfic. Now I can tell you wich fics are great and are bad.
So, yeah, I retired once...Once, and it was a miserable time for me.
I plan on becoming professional one day. Writing articles, freelance, and maybe even a novelist. But for this side, as a fanfic writer? Yeah, I am staying for eternity.

I am in my 60s, and pull away from my laptop as my granddaughter runs in. She is smiling and a little nervous as she asks, "Grandpa, could you help me with my fic? I don't think I got Twilight's character right."
"Why sure I can," I smiled as I follow her. "You know, back in my day, I had only G4 MLP to watch. Twilight was a bookworm and not this ancient warrior from a long time ago."
"I know grandpa, I watched your old G4 pony DVDs to see if they compare to G8 (By now, it's MLP: Return of Friendship) Hey, could you call my great uncle? I want to know what it was like editing for you.

Yeah, I am going to be old, grey, and have forgotten half of my ideas...but I am still going to be here.

That possible future with you and your granddaughter is one of the cutest things ever.
I never knew my online friends, had such diverse ages. Wow, LB you have years of experience with you. I gotta say good luck with life, and I wish you well on your future plans.

Yeah, I feel weird whenever I say I'm 31. no one seems to beleive me.
