Just a disclaimer: I made this journal about a week ago on another site I'm on (its DeviantArt if you're wondering) so it might sound a little out of place but I think my message here is pretty much the same and will add new things for the sake of this site and decided to upload it it here because to me I take Mpreg seriously (I also have it as a fetish too but it mostly serious for me) to where I'm not really the type to joke about it or enjoy jokes about it, so I'm putting my stance on this type of thing
but before I begin I just wanna say this first part of the journal is gonna be based on my opinion and beliefs which means you don't have to agree with it I'm just trying to show how I justify the things that I will be drawing and write about in the future so if you still have complaints after seeing this journal....than honestly It just doesn't matter to me at that point but anyway let us begin.
Now I know some of you have heard of the multiverse theory (if you don't here is a link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse) and if you know me you know I'm a very strong believer in there are multiple universes out there. (maybe not infinite but most likely more than we can ever count) now I bet you're wondering what this has to do with anything, well if you believe in the multiverse like I do then you should also believe in there are universes where Mpreg (and yuripreg) is a possible thing already (i still think that is possible here just not yet but that is a different can of worms), I mean it really wouldn't make sense not too (and fyi this also follows the logic of every pairing is canon but again that is for another journal) and then there is that question "how does the baby come out?" but then you have to realize the vastness of the multiverse and the answer is.....pretty much any way you are comfortable with since the biology of other universes will always be different from our own and there are infinite choices so just have fun with the possibilities of how you want it to happen. (also just to add if you love Rick and Morty I feel you can't hate this theory because your literally watching a show based on it and wanted to add that MLP has a confirmed multiverse system anyway with the comics and Equestria girl movies so you can just imagine this happening in another universe)
but now that part 1 of this journal is over let's get to part 2 the hypocritical stuff that this fandom handles pretty much the first thing which is "its impossible" these two lines honestly upset me to no end because if that is the reason why you hate it...well in that case you should hate magic because that's impossible,you should hate cartoons because that's impossible, you should hate species that don't exist that people draw because there impossible (A.k.A Pokemon and Digimon), you should hate things with strange anatomy because it's impossible (A.k.A sonic),you should hate talking and walking animals on hind legs because that's impossible too, need I go on? see to me the people that hate it don't because it's impossible....they hate it because they're uncomfortable, which is a big difference because if you hate it because it's "impossible" then you should hate literally on the internet or on tv because everything on there is impossible and if you don't well that just makes you hypocrite honestly.
now here is something else "I don't like it because it goes nature and males can't reproduce with each other"....okay then now let me ask something do you like Nick x Judy fankids or Foxy x Chica fankids or just interspecies kids like this and find them cute,and wanna make your own? if your answer was yes but also go with what was said in the quotation then you're a hypocrite, why? well mostly because prey x predator can't have kids .when you get down to it a Nick x Judy child is no different from a Mpreg child when you use that "nature" argument I mean when was the last time you saw a fox x Rabbit hybrid hopping around your neighborhood? through this is much broader and really if you wanna keep things "realistic" than you shouldn't have ANY kind of hybrid character anywhere at all and sorry the pairing being hetero doesn't stop it from being any less impossible and if it is (since I know some interspecies kids are possible ) it has never ended well and the kid could never reproduce anyway since it just doesn't biologically fit but I bet anyone who makes characters like this anyway is just gonna ignore that fact anyway and honestly lets be real the het fans get off much easier with doing impossible stuff just because the art is het and nothing else, its the truth don't deny it. like on Nick x Judy fanart I have never seen one "its impossible" comment...not one but with a child with two mothers I see like 50 of them...I feel that gets really annoying really fast and I feel it needs to stop because again its really hypocritical
The bottom line is to me if you said "I dislike mpreg because it makes me uncomfortable and I'm just not into it" that's fine and reasonable to me but if you say the other things then honestly, I question why your even on the internet at all and even if the artist doesn't explain how they make it possible like I do I don't think people should be spamming that question over and over again it's very annoying
so the core message of the second half of this journal is don't judge what other people wanna write or want to be real because you may not realize you're doing the exact same thing yourself
Personally speaking, I can't say I'm a huge fan of mpreg myself. But I can't say I'm against it because of logistics or anything. I mostly just see it as a weird concept that's hard to understand. But with that being said, I tend not to judge when it comes to people's interests/kinks; as long as what they're into isn't illegal or too gross, I couldn't care less. I even made a blogpost a while back taking about the problems with kinkshaming and judgement of tastes.
Besides, considering how we're all reading fanciftion based off characters from a children's TV show, I think any judgement we give to each other is highly hypocritical. Is male pregnancy an unusual subject to write or read about? Maybe. But so are most of the stories on this site from the perspective of someone who doesn't watch MLP or read fanfiction as a whole. So even though mpreg isn't a theme I would openly pursue (except maybe by curiosity), I wouldn't dare judge those who do. As long as it's safe and consentual, I won't mind at all.

I understand having a hard time understanding it there are many types of things I don't understand why people like them.however to me Mpreg (and yuripreg) are to be ways for all kinds of relationships to be equal I'm not sure why its just how I feel,sure it can't happen (yet) but to me I always have two questions in my head "why can't it happen?" and 'would it be bad at all for it to be?".and as I said from the start I'm a multiverse supporter so to me I think what "strange and very hard to understand" here and perfectly "normal" there. but again that is just my belief I follow
and yeah I fully agree with everything with everything you say here and on the blog and honestly I feel like I'm gonna be the guy who is scared of mpreg shaming that I might stop doing it which I really don't want to since pretty much everything I have made and created up to this point have been created through that (even my MLP fankids) through I am trying to push through and not worry what others may be thinking through,that is a very hard thing for me a lot of the time
also about the consensual part, don't worry about that...as a hopeless romantic I would write really nothing but that

Well, just know that there will always be people who criticize other's works. Even my more innocent and cutesy M/M stories get some negative comments from time to time. The best you can do is just ignore it, and pay attention to the upvote/downvote counter. Even if it's more in the negative at first, that doesn't mean it'll always stay there. Trust me. ;)

your very right and that's what I've been trying to do (as a neurotic its hard sometimes but hopefully I will get there) and I think it has been kinda working me lately.Even now I've been working on an M/M story right (and have some other ideas behind that) and honestly I can't wait to upload it here.It's a pretty obscure pairing for sure and something I know nobody has thought of before but it takes a lot of setup

Yep, setup is certainly time-consuming. But it's also really important in regards to world-building and detail. I wish you the best of luck with whatever pairing it is.

yeah true which isn't really my strong point and as the story is I have a lingering feeling I'm missing a lot of things I could add to make it better and really should look for a peer editor and such,I just don't really have brony friends like that, since I am still pretty new to this and not the best at socialising
