Trip down memory lane · 4:29pm Sep 8th, 2017
So way back when my Dad and me used to play Crysis together, and today i decided to dwelve in nostalgia and buy the game again.
It's still as awesome as i remember it, and it brought back a lot of good memories.
It's fascinating, the game released 2007, but even today it still exceeds standards. An absoloute milestone and basically, if you play shooters at all but haven't played crysis yet, then wtf are you doing?
Go get it, play it, and be amazed by it. Amazing singleplayer experience.

That was more a statement about the game itself, not about my memories with it.
But back then i was a bit too young to actually play the game myself without just dying over and over again. I just used to watch my Dad play, enjoyed that way more. It sounds really simple and kinda dumb, but him and me used to spend the evenings gaming. he was playing and little me was watching. some of the best memories i have.
Same but I watched my dad play CoD MW3 (Best CoD after WW2) with the age of 12. Completely not to young

Ah, Crysis... IMHO one of the most underrated games ever... I remember the first time I saw this scene in the demo, around 2009:
I had to run it in 1024x768 to make it playable on 'High' on my 9800GT, but still, I was like for a few minutes... The whole game was actually amazing - not only the engine.
Too bad they took the simpler approach with Crysis 2/3 ('thank you' consoles). They were still good games, but not close to Crysis 1 or Warhead (and why, did Crytek remove the ability to 'tweak' your suit powers using the config files in later games - with those things you could replay the first game many times over, testing various setting).
You have a good taste dear sir

Yeah, Crysis was ahead of it's time.
I mean even now, about 10 years after it's initial release the game can challenge triple a games in graphics and surpass them in gameplay

Yup, some even say that Crysis 1 was the last game that tried to be ambitious, and from that time onward game development is pretty much standing still. While this may be too harsh, there is some truth to it...
However, this gem:
Restored some of my faith in the game industry - if you like the 80s and haven't played it, I urge you to try
